Biggest surprise so far... (1 Viewer)

Up for debate I suppose, but IMO, there is no bigger surprise than Randy Moss this year. Despite his amazing statistical career, I'm one of many who understandably dubbed him as a total has been.

Is any other player even close?

I didn't think we'd see a day where Jamal Lewis topped 200 yards rushing again.

On the flip side, the biggest stunner easily has been how bad the Saints have played in the first two games. That's a lot of high fantasy picks killing their owners so far.

Not in my book. He looks to be the dominant Randy Moss of yesteryear. He fell to the 4th round in a few of my 12 team drafts, and 5th round of a 10 team draft.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't pull the trigger on him in any league. After 2 weeks, doesn't look like a wise move on my part.

derek anderson shredding what lots of people thought was a good cincy defense...or maybe just cleveland winning vs cincy.

Houston Texans.
Why? This was only a little bit better than I expected. Far from the biggest surprise as far as I am concerned. I expected wins both these weeks. Schaub is an NFL QB. Carr never has been. Zero sacks today. Had carr been there, it would have been 3 or 4. This had always been a good team with a horrible QB.

Surprises of which I sort of saw coming

Derrick Ward

Texans

Chiefs

Surprises which I was blindsided on

SJax

Saints

Lions

Lee Evans

Biggest surprise so far.....????

How about Green Bay, SF, Houston, AND Detroit all 2-0 .......

wtf is going on?

I'm happy with Parker thus far. I'd imagine Travis Henry owners are happy as well.

well he is right in that so far, MOST first round RBs are playing well below what we would expect

LT, LJ, Jackson, Maroney, Westy, Bush, Ronnie Brown, Alexander...none of these guys are playing as well as I would have thought after 2 weeks...

For me the biggest surprise has been the Saints. Where did that potent offense go? It's not like they lost any key players to injury or free agency.

I'm writing the Browns game off as an anomaly. I still think they're awful and destined to finish last in their division.

Probably should leave Westbrook out too - he's only played one game and had 130+ total yards in that game

Alexander has scored in both games so far. He didn't have a monster game this week but his yardage was solid and he scored. He had over 100 and a TD last week. He's off to a good start.Edited to add - if anyone took Brown in the first round or early second they clearly weren't paying attention to all of the negative signs surrounding him heading into the season.

I agree on the Saints. I'm perplexed. I can understand playing poorly against the Colts week 1 in their building, etc. but to be so bad against the TB Bucs? I'm very surprised, I think they'll get on track but I'm sure they have a lot fantasy owners nervous (and losing games) with their slow starts.

Their defense isn't very good, so I guess it's not surprising to see them get burned by Galloway for a couple big plays. What's surprising is that they can't seem to get any rhythm going on offense. That said, I have a feeling that Deuce is in for a pretty good week against Tennessee. The Titans aren't the type of team that will get a big lead on you, so New Orleans should be able to relax a bit and grind out the yards.

That AJ Smith (GM SD) doesn't have a suicide watch - either self imposed or provided by the SD fans (and LT owners). Amazing that this guy let his ego get in the way of one of the better up-and-coming teams in the NFL. Booting Marty and letting both coordinators go after just missing the SB is

2 tough games - I'll admit that. But, their offense looks lost and it's keeping the D on the field way too long - making both suffer.

Chris Chambers? He's not shocking the world, but he's had two decent weeks compared to what he was doing last year.

Rex Grossman's consistency has surprised me, last year he'd be great one week, and then suck the next.

This year he's posted a 56 QB Rating in Week One, and 53.7 this week.

If Lovie Smith and Ron Turner wanted consistency, by golly - they've got it!

;)

Funny part...does Alex Smith have a passing TD yet?
The Niners' passing game sucks and the Packers' running game sucks and yet both teams are 2-0. Go figure.
Yea but its not like Smith is a bad QB. Gore hasn't been ripping things up either. If Smith comes around though.... ;) One thing that has stood out to me so far is the lack of normal "stud" running backs this year. Go look at the top 10 in points for RBs in your league right now. I would but the totals arent calculated for this week yet. Needless to say it is far off from the normal projected top 10

The Vikings D scoring 3 td's already. Expected them to be better then last season but theyve won me 2 fantasy games so far. There defintely out scoring my 2.01 pick reggie bush. Im a happy henry owner too but would like to see him find the endzone
