Bill Cosby needs a new Media Manager (and to stop raping) (1 Viewer)

She admitted to taking what she thought were two Quaaludes. Her next memory is of waking up naked in bed with Cosby, with a 'sticky wetness' between her legs and a certainty she had been violated.

bareback or nothing for Cosby

cant believe he was able to go home after being convicted

Gonna need a media platform dedicated to the rapists and harassers who are no longer available on the main channels
Makes me think of the Sean Connery on Jeopardy sketches SNL did.  That and the "Penis Mightier" rift.

Any backstory to this? Was Buress as suprised by the fallout as anyone? Or did he have a tiff with Cosby at some point (maybe over some of Cosby's "black accountability" quotes) and then decided to fire with both barrels on stage?

Gotcha. I did know about Buress's Cosby bit in broad strokes. But I didn't realize that during that bit, Buress commented on Cosby being smug and self-righteous.

I wonder if Cosby ever looks back and thinks "Dam ... if I woulda just kept my trap shut about baggy pants."

TV ONE is, by its own description, "a lifestyle and entertainment network for African-American adults."  They may want to consider propagating a different lifestyle than that of the Cos.

Cosby would be smart to just end it before he ever spends a day in jail. Swallow some pills or slit his wrists like Frankie Five Angels in Godfather II.

AP just tweeted that he launched into an expletive-ridden tirade at the prosecutor after the verdict was read.  I need to see a transcript of that.  He always worked pretty clean, I think this is the most shocking thing about this entire circus.
I know exactly what you were doing here   :lmao:

the Alma Mater and F.I.T.  are catching some heat regarding his perfessershipness

>> Two Manhattan colleges have yet to yank the honorary degrees they bestowed on now-convicted sex offender Bill Cosby — and students say the lack of action is a total fail.

Officials at Manhattan’s Fashion Institute of Technology, whose student body is 85 percent women, and New York University said Friday that the schools were still debating whether to revoke the disgraced funnyman’s honorary doctorates after his sexual-assault conviction a day earlier.

“[It] has been a subject under discussion at the college, and a decision will be rendered very soon,” was all an FIT spokeswoman would say — even as Cosby’s alma mater, Temple University, revoked his honorary doctorate of law.

In 2000, FIT gave Cosby an honorary doctorate of humane letters at a ceremony in Radio City City Music Hall. His now 51-year-old daughter Erinn attended the college.

NYU also was not in a rush to strip the 80-year-old Cosby of his honorary doctorate of fine arts, which it awarded him in May 1997.

“We expect the trustees to take up the matter of his honorary degree at their next meeting,” said John Beckman, a spokesman for the university.

Students were outraged by the delay.

“I think they should absolutely revoke his degree — especially with rape culture being such a big issue across college campuses,” said Mary Sherman, 18, who is studying textiles at FIT. If they don’t, “It sends a message that rape is OK.”

Former state Comptroller Carl McCall, who chairs SUNY’s Board of Trustees that oversees FIT — and whose wife, Joyce Brown, is FIT’s president — hinted that the FIT honor, at least, will eventually be stripped from Cosby.

“We’ve done it in other cases,’’ he said, citing the case of SUNY Oswego and Charlie Rose. <<

Bill Cosby's wife Camille says it was "mob justice" that convicted her husband, and likens his treatment to the lynching of Emmett Till.

Oswego should probably be thinking about frocking Cosby.

The list of notable of alumni goes 1) Al Roker, 2) Linda Cohen, 3) Everyone else...(but, but, but Seinfeld had a cup of coffee)

honorary degrees are stupid and mean nothing more then "we paid this guy to speak, lets give him a plaque with something in it for the photo op with the president of the institution"

anyone who is bent out of shape over them not taking back this participation trophy has way too much time on their hands.

i mean if there is a big wall with honorary degree plaques on it in the main student center, then sure take it down. But if it is just something that happened 18 years ago and there is no actual mention of it anywhere current, then so what.

I agree...cut all public ties with him and never let him on campus, but to me this is the equivalent of deleting a text message you had with a guy who bought your used iphone 5 years ago...did it happen, yea, am i going back and reminiscing the conversation...no.

and to be clear, i have dog in this fight....i could care lesss, i didn't even know he had honorary degrees from this places, but it just seems odd that there is actual 'outrage' over this.

If they are going to take the time to honor the guy for no reason they should take the time to dishonor the guy for good reason.

Yes but this turd actually walked around expecting people to call him dr. Cosby

Maybe she's crazy like a fox and wants Bill's rapin' ### in jail.

Although in reality she seems to be in complete denial that her saint of a husband could ever have dreamed of such things.
She likes her lifestyle. Bill's the key to that.

I wonder how much of a $ hit the others from the Cosby show are taking with basically no more royalty checks
The fact that Sondra's husband had to work at a Whole Foods was the talk of NYC for a day and a half.

Who is next, Cockroach? Bud?

That show was Cosby and his fall has to be one of the greatest. Maybe Fatty Arbuckle could play Babe Ruth to Cosby's Barry Bonds in the celebrity fall from grace game?

CNN: What to look for.

It's the second day of Bill Cosby's sentencing hearing. We're not exactly sure how the day will play out — there's no formal schedule set — but here are four things we expect to happen today:

The defense is expected to call a witness to testify about whether Cosby should be labeled a "sexually violent predator" (Prosecutors called their witness yesterday)

Judge Steven T. O'Neill will rule on whether Cosby should be labeled a sexually violent predator.

Cosby will have an opportunity to speak.

The judge will issue a sentence to Cosby. He faces up to 10 years in prison after prosecutors and defense attorneys agreed to merge the three counts of his conviction into one for sentencing purposes.

4 years later is this true?  I honestly don't know.
The Hannibal Burress routine had the conversation started, but I truly believe that the memes drove Cosby to the courtroom.
Had become a national story five or six hours after the meme generator first came online during the afternoon of November 10th: https://nypost.com/2014/11/10/bill-cosby-twitter-hasthag-meme-immediately-backfired/
At the time, the thought was Cosby was probably not a great guy, but had settled claims almost a decade ago.

It wasn't until after the meme generator created an international story that you saw the first institutional actions against Cosby:

In November 2014, colleges and universities with ties to Cosby began removing their affiliations with him. The University of Massachusetts Amherst, one of Cosby's alma maters, asked Cosby to step down as an honorary co-chairman of the university's fundraising campaign. The Berklee College of Music, which had previously awarded Cosby with an honorary degree, got rid of a scholarship that it offered in Cosby's name. High Point University in North Carolina also pulled Cosby from its advisory board, and Freed–Hardeman University rescinded its invitation for Cosby to appear at an annual dinner in December.
Lousia Moritz comes out with fresh accusations against Cosby on November 20th, 2014, likely empowered by the news generated by the meme. Carla Ferrigno does as well. 18 women come out with allegations against Cosby in 2014, which likely doesn't happen without the meme.

Would the rumbling undercurrent have caused these women to come forward at a later date? Perhaps, but the meme controversy was the lightning rod that created an environment where they would be listened to.

Judge Steven T. O'Neill will rule on whether Cosby should be labeled a sexually violent predator.
Judge Steven O'Neill has ruled Bill Cosby will be classified as a "sexually violent predator."

The “Sexually violent predator” status -- sometimes written as SVP -- requires lifetime registration, lifetime mandatory sex offender counseling with a treatment provider and notification of the community that a “sexually violent predator” lives in the area.

It does not impact the length of the actual sentence. The sentencing hearing continues in Montgomery County Pennsylvania.

I’m sorta sarcastic, but yeah. The way I remember it, the deposition and case were totally forgotten, then it was the comedian (Hannibal?) who went off about it in a routine, that was caught on tape, then Coz shot back at him, then whatever he said got circulated in a series of pretty funny memes that caught on. That’s when the public took notice.

bill's legal team asked for bail...judge is apparently taking 10 minutes to review.

as per a woman reporter who came out of courtroom to talk to one of the camera men.
