Tell me what timeout the Texans would have used after the completed pass to put them into FG range. I just. No. If you force them to throw to the sideline you can defend just the sideline. You just can’t call 3 passes from your own 3 yard line thereIf they ran 3 times and the same thing happened at the end (b/c Houston had 3 timeouts anyway) everyone would be saying they should have tried to get a first down.
The only thing that changed is that Houston wouldn't have had a timeout at the end and would have had to go to the sideline to get those extra 5 yards they got in the middle of the field. But Kaimi's kick would've been good from 5 yards further anyway. That thing hit like 1/3 of the way up the net.

Bills punter was nailing it today too.If the Bills picked up 5 yards on three runs, which I think they would, it would have given the punter more room and maybe Hou is farther back.
You have to run it there. Maybe you even get lucky and get a first down.
McDermott decided this was the time to be aggressive, and it bit him. When I saw them pinned at the 3 I was expecting to run. Even 2 runs to make it 3rd and 5 would have had a better chance to pick up the first with a throw.Does it change anyone’s mind to know that the Bills also declined the 10 second runoff after the intentional grounding penalty?
