**Bills at Texans** (-1, 47) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

Kaimi!!!!!

Saves CJs crud play, Slowik’s horrible playcalling, and the OL collapse. The Texan we can count on is our kicker lol.

If they ran 3 times and the same thing happened at the end (b/c Houston had 3 timeouts anyway) everyone would be saying they should have tried to get a first down.

The only thing that changed is that Houston wouldn't have had a timeout at the end and would have had to go to the sideline to get those extra 5 yards they got in the middle of the field. But Kaimi's kick would've been good from 5 yards further anyway. That thing hit like 1/3 of the way up the net.

Tell me what timeout the Texans would have used after the completed pass to put them into FG range. I just. No. If you force them to throw to the sideline you can defend just the sideline. You just can’t call 3 passes from your own 3 yard line there

I mean, I already covered that in my post. They wouldn't have had the timeout on the last play. But teams give up 5 yards on the sideline in that case all the time anyway. And even without the 5 yards that kick would have been good easily. That thing had another 10 yards of distance on it.

I think it was reasonable to think the EV of trying to get a 1st down against prevent defense was higher than the chances that the extra timeout for the Texans on offense would have mattered, which it probably didn't anyway. And once they threw on 1st down (where they probably thought they could catch them off-guard) it became a moot point anyway as they would've had that timeout at the end either way.

If the Bills picked up 5 yards on three runs, which I think they would, it would have given the punter more room and maybe Hou is farther back.

You have to run it there. Maybe you even get lucky and get a first down.

Bills punter was nailing it today too.

Does it change anyone’s mind to know that the Bills also declined the 10 second runoff after the intentional grounding penalty?

McDermott decided this was the time to be aggressive, and it bit him. When I saw them pinned at the 3 I was expecting to run. Even 2 runs to make it 3rd and 5 would have had a better chance to pick up the first with a throw.
