Bills @ Lions (1 Viewer)

he had a nice catch on a crossing route then ran through the CB to pick up the first down.

Bills CB made a good play to break up another pass to Calvin.

As hard as it is some moments, I have to follow. O'Sullivan was my high school QB for 4 years. :ptts:

Question: Is anyone else stuck at work or otherwise unable to watch the games watchign the score on NFL.com? And are you too unable to see the stats track? It doesn't seem to be showing me.... anything.

Just curious.

I see the stats, etc on NFL.com.However, I am more interested in how the players a looking rather than just the stats.

right, me too. But I'm just trying to follow the games and see what's happening. Not TV, so I gotta do SOMETHING.Maybe it's Safari - sometimes it's the SUCK.

Lynch with 6 carries for 9 yds...didn't he do this last week as well? He may be one of the worst starting RB in terms of fantasy production for 2007.

he's had nowhere to go. offensive line needs to get better in a hurry for him to do much.
Aaron...I'm not saying he is a bust by any stretch, but the fact is if he has nowhere to run he is useless to me in terms of FF. I think he will be a solid NFL RB, and the Bills were wise to grab him but we have to be honest about his production for 2007. I don't think anyone could do a lot back there right now. Fred Jackson keeps looking alright though.

 As has been said many times on this very board (I think MOP had a very thorough thread on Olines at one point) - a bad O-line can hobble a runner. Very few (Barry Sanders being one) RBs can rise above bad O-line play. We'll have to see -- but I have always thought getting Lynch ahead of AP might bite some owners in the rear.We shall see.

takes offensive lines time to gel. lot of new pieces shifting around right now. I think they'll get better. But, Jauron has said it will be RBBC this year so I think people are wise to temper their expectations for Lynch. He should do well in PPR leagues though.Jackson looks great. I'd like to see what Lynch could do against some backups.

This is not helping my decision on whether to take Calvin or Peterson with my rookie pick whatsoever.
that's an easy decision. Peterson.
Sounds easier than it is.Strange lineups (2 WR/3 Flex) with PPR. I have a ton of RB's already, and I love Calvin like he's my brother.I wanted Calvin to blow up, but it's seeming like I might have to take Peterson.
can't go wrong with either then.Mike Furrey, a converted safety, led the NFC in receptions last year playing in this offense. Calvin Johnson is a phenomenal WR prospect. Gotta believe he's going to be great, with Roy drawing double teams across from him.

I agree with everything you say.But it would be nice to have more than a coinflip to decide. : )

Duckett looks horrible. Slow and lumbering. When he hits someone they both fall down. He was lucky he had the one long run he did. Didn't convert on 3rd and one.

Garbage.

Stay away.

you look so pretty tonight. ;)

Was thinking Detroit will air it out this season (no running game)...but had better choices when Roy and Calvin came around..so I got Furrey in the 15th round (he's hurt now) but one of the others will be hurt later!

Glad I checked that update...

 In regards to Duckett, he looked alright on his first carry....he didn't seem to have anywhere to go on any other carries I saw him get.

Vanilla

Vanilla

Vanilla

I don't know if anyone else is catching this game on what I guess is called the "Buffalo Bills Television Network", but that is what I am watching.

Each week in the preseason, Bills players have been interviewed on the sidline during the game, (Losman tonight, and a few other times, Whitner, Lynch, and a few others)...I swear everytime they talk about how they are not gameplanning and everything is just vanilla.

My question is just how much of that are you buying?

I have seen each of their games and they have not looked particularly good at all. Anyone think they are holding back EVERYTHING and just plan on going lights out on Denver? Or are they going to come out next week and lay an egg?

I know it's just the preseason but man this Bills' line still looks pathetic.

Lynch is now averaging 1.5ypc through the entire preseason. Obviously that won't be the case during the real season and I expect the Bills' line to gel some throughout the year, but those Lynch owners making fun of Atrain's 3.4ypc last year may not think it's so funny anymore through the first 5 weeks or so.

I'm certain this is true, but they should be able to just line up and run an HB Dive every play and do better than 1.5ypc. The line is just getting manhandled. It's not that the defenses are scheming better and have more guys up there, it's just that o-linemen are getting beat one on one over and over again.

Trent Edwards this preseason:

46 out of 61 (75.5%) for 432 yards, 1 TD, and 0 INT

That's the same completion percentage he had during his last two years of high school, when he threw for 5,000 yards, 58 TDs, and 7 INTs.

How long until he makes like Tom Brady on JP Losman?

:lmao: The only way that Edwards is the starting QB for the Bills at any point this year or next is if Losman gets hurt. So many people trashed Losman before last season that a lot of folks still can't convince themselves that Losman is a pretty good young QB. I honestly believe that Losman will finish as a top 10 QB this season. Edwards has looked great and will be decent insurance if something happened to JP. He's also decent insurance if JP wants more money than the Bills are willing to give him after next season. But right now, this is JP's team.

What's so funny? That's how Tom Brady got his job. Bledose got hurt.

So now we're not only predicting injuries, but what WEEK they're going to happen!? :lmao:

Trent Edwards looked great today. Seems pretty clear that he'll be the #2 QB in Buffalo this year.
He did look good. Dynasty folk should take notice. As others have said I don't think he plays for the Bills unless Lossman gets hurt (I like Lossman this year), but looking like he has this preseason, he should get a shot somewhere at some point.
