*** HBO Hard Knocks 2025 *** (1 Viewer)

There’s gonna be a lot more Josh Allen fans after this season of Hard Knocks. Dude seems like a real, down-to-earth quality human being.

One of my favorite 2025 offseason landing spots was Joshua Palmer to the Buffalo Bills. I fully expect his ADP to skyrocket per the "Hard Knocks Effect"

Great theory. Will be interesting to see.

Or….does a little extra Shakir or Keon Coleman screen time push one of them up instead. Coleman was certainly trending like crazy with his post draft pressers. (His puffer jacket. The cookies at the press conference). I hope we get LOTS of that awesomeness in Hard Knocks this year.

Note to self…need to re-sign up for HBO/Max I guess :(
Hopefully this thread will pop up when it starts up to remind me to renew. :)

I feel disinclined to watch this year for some reason... LMK if there's anything compelling about the 2025 Jills preseason worth tuning in for.

I just watched episode 3 and I'm finding it tougher and tougher to care about this show. Seems like they used to really feature bubble guys and we got to root for them and feel their heartache when they got cut. Do they even show cuts anymore? I miss "Coach wants to see you. Bring your playbook."

NFL stopped doing cuts until the end of preseason, so they all happen in the last episode.

And I agree without the drama and the cuts coming in at pace, it's kind of boring. This season especially not much is really happening. A bunch of guys stand out in the heat and practice, then some of them play in a meaningless game, they're all hard to identify and keep track of, and then credits.

Yeah, Hard Knocks has become a fluff and PR piece for the featured organization. Look at us and what a great group of guys we have on this team

I really liked the Giants off season one though. We need more behind the scenes stuff of what really goes on for the show to be interesting.

They did forshadow ep 4 with the words "cut down day" at the end of ep 3.

Unfortunately, the Giants season, as good as it was, was focused on the Saquon Barkley vs Danny Jones fiasco, and given how that turned out immediately after (the one they cut had the greatest single season in recent memory and won a ring for their closest rival, the guy they kept, they ended up cutting and set back their franchise years), no more teams will agree to let them do the same.

I really enjoyed the front office peek as well but we may never get that intimate a look inside ever again, at least not unless it's 10 years in the rear view. No one wants to look as completely stupid as the Giants looked ever again.

(Of course, the Giants only looked stupid because they were completely stupid and made a decision so obviously wrong that every fan knew it was a mistake immediately as it was happening. Other teams shouldn't be afraid of that... unless they're as dumb (and a few franchises are...))

Amen. I was gonna post essentially the same thing. Nobody is gonna Joe Schoen themselves on camera ever again. Or, at least, as you suggested, the collective memory forgets it.

The show is boring, but I think it is because this is a well run organization. Most years are interesting just to watch what a ****show some of these team's actually are.
It's only good when you have a ****show organization like you said or a fun upcoming team like the Lions. The Detroit season was probably the last great one we get.

I feel like Keon Coleman is making a lot of plays. He's not getting any air time as one of the personalities, but seems like he's catching a lot of balls in the live action portions of filming.

I enjoyed the improv lesson, the Jimmy Ciarlo story, and observing McDermott for modeling good leadership as well as smart skin care practices in the summer sun.

But if I don't get some bad rookie singing performances pretty soon, I'm out.

For me, the ideal setup would be a great front office for the draft/offseason version and then a sh##show franchise for the training camp. The well-run training camp is boring lol

I struggled mightily to finish last weeks ep 2 last night. I'm out.

The most boring least discussed Hard Knocks ever. This one might kill off the whole thing.

I am actually finding this season of Hard Knocks refreshing!

Seeing a well run team with a great coach is very different than past seasons. The biggest thing I have noticed is that the Bills coaching staff is not constantly cursing up a storm at the players and instead teaching them to actually get better. I think this method works more effectively and it shows with the demeanor and discipline of the whole team.

Maybe part of my enjoyment is that I went to University at Buffalo many years ago and used to work for the sports station that covered the team. But that was back in the four Super Bowl loss era. So seeing Thurman Thomas brought back memories of working on his tv show!

It is pretty cool seeing how the players bond with the fans and that it is a true connection. This whole team seems to have a relaxed attitude and it seems they will be successful again this season. Hoping they can make the leap in the playoffs this year as it feels like they truly deserve it.

Davidson a crazy nutty sleeper if Kincaid continues to underwhelm?

Edit: Wait, he was cut? LOLZIES!
The highlighted end of roster players got cut (TE/punter combo guy, LB hard working military grad staying until late night, Hamler's dribbling drops, back-up QB battle, and baby Gore) . Producers had the inside scoop before Ep5.
Good stories though.

Of course, some are back on the practice squad.

Maybe they're just not showing enough... but I watch this season and I can understand why the Bills haven't won anything. I can see why they can't get past Kansas City.

Something is missing. From my perspective, they don't have 'IT', the secret sauce. Sure, they're good, they're talented, Josh Allen is a happy-go-lucky QB who loves football and is a good husband. Yet, I'm wanting to see a guy who eats concrete and steel rebar for breakfast and pisses lightning and s**ts thunder. I'm watching him on Hard Knocks, and I can't help but think back to 'Glengarry Glen Ross'

"You're a good husband? I don't give a s**t!
You're a good father? @#$% YOU!!! Go home and play with your kids!
You wanna work here? Close!"

"There's one thing in this life that matters. Get them to sign on the line that is dotted..." (not gonna finish that line)

I just wanna slap Josh Allen and tell him. Go get the Lombardi. Nothing else matters.
