Bills Say They Will Use RBBC (1 Viewer)

The Buffalo Bill's offensive backfield may be crowded in 2007, as they will use a group approach to carrying the ball. "We think it's in everybody's best interest, Anthony Thomas included, that we do have more than one back that carries the load," said Bills HC **** Jauron. "If you do that and you have depth, you can rotate them, you can keep them fresh (and) they don't get as beat up." Buffalo figures to add at least one and maybe two more backs to the mix, with RB's Shaud Williams and Fred Jackson the only other tailbacks under contract. "We've got the draft coming up," said Thomas. "So I think they'll get a couple of good guys in there and we'll see what happens."

I hear rumors of a trade with Detroit in the happenings... supposedly Bills first and both thirds for DET's first. Sounds expensive to me.

Please change the title to "Bills tell Thomas they will use RBBC, just in case they don't get a good #1 back in the draft"

I believe that would actually be in the Bills favor by a descent bit according to the value calulators the teams use.

I don't think that the Bills need to trade up that high though. I really do think that the Browns will take a QB with their pick or if Joe Thomas somehow ends up not going 1 or 2 they could take him. I really am starting to believe that Peterson is going to slip and the Bills can trade up to the 7th spot and still get him if they want.

I agree to an extent, but I suspect someone else will trade up to take Peterson higher than 7.
