I have a large (20 pt) lead in a 16 team 5x5 (obp) league.
My team weakness is MI, where I am starting Getz.
I am stacked at OF, with Manny, Ethier, Crawford, Wertz, Upton, Scott, Nyjer, Morales and Parra.
So it makes a lot of sense for me to trade for Jeter, as he would replace Getz at MI and I would still I pretty strong in the OF> rotating the #5 with Scott, Morgam and Parra based on matchup and hot-hitting.
What bothers/worries me most about the trade is thqat it is being proposed by the guy who just moved into second place. To make up a 20 pt. deficit he needs to make and win some gambles and I would be providing him with a oppty to do that.
