Bledsoe cut by Cowboys (1 Viewer)

Cowboys released Drew Bledsoe.

The move saves $6 million in cap room. The only question now for Bledsoe is whether he wants to be a backup in the NFL. The only available quarterback spot is in Oakland and we doubt either side is interested. Bledsoe has always been a proud guy. After three teams gave up on him in five seasons, we suspect he'll retire.

Maybe he and Moulds can start a pickup game league on the weekends.

Should have retired 2 years ago...

... are you listening Brett Favre ?

If he was smart he would find the healthiest QB in the league and be his backup. Sign for the veteran’s minimum, plus the TV revenue from the players union, makes a nice little payday. No one hits you, your career is extended for two or three more years; beats getting a real job.

It will be hard to find a team to play for when it finally comes out that Bledsoe is a raging Romo-phobe.

He could definately beat out Jim Sorgi and would make a great FF QB weeks 13-17. ;)

He lives in Oregon, played college ball at Washington State. In the perfect world he would be Hasselbeck's back up, and Wallace would move to punt return and WR.

Start your football in Washington, and end it there too.

We'll take him in Minny for the Vet's min and a chance at the starting gig.

ANYTHING has to be better than watching a Div. II guy battle it out it for a starting NFL QB job against a Div. I career backup from Wisconny.

Talk about your trashy reality TV shows. This one in MN is a :goodposting:

That's an interesting idea - the line might even be good enough to keep him upright - now if he only had someone on the team that could catch the ball...

Joey welcome to Dallas.
Gonna be Cincy (Porter).
I hope you don't mean Harrington!! :lmao:
Ah....that Joey....yeah I could see that.
I would think that Patrick Ramsey would be a decent fit as backup in Dallas, and would likely come cheaper than Harrington. The Jets just released him.
There has been a lot of discussion surrounding Ramsey on the Cowboy boards I visit. per DMN:According to two sources, the New York Jets talked to the Cowboys about a trade for quarterback Patrick Ramsey, but he is expected to be cut today with a $1.4 million roster bonus looming.I wouldn't mind Ramsey.

I was thinking with the Vikings unless they decide they don't want to waste another season playing a vet QB with young guys needing to get some PT. Maybe TB since it looks like Plummer will not go there?
