Just took my first glance at Bloom’s Superflex Big Board and I have to say it’s just wild to me.

Ignore the fact that Travis Hunter was listed as a RB in tier 2…

Every RB and WR not named Jeanty and Hunter is listed as Tier 3, in the same tier as Shedeur Sanders, Jaxon Dart, and Tyler Shough.

No tier separation between, say, Omarion Hampton (22nd overall) and Bayshul Tuten (104th overall).

No tier separation between Tet McMillan (8th overall) and Jack Bech (58th overall).

I guess this is having a position and sticking to it but it feels so contrarian that it’s more confusing than helpful.

Thoughts?

I thought the same thing. I'm guessing it's a mistake or he's using some different idea of tiering. A 16 player Tier isn't useful.

I also find it confusing and kind of hard to follow as these tiers are ridiculously big.

With that said, the rookie guide also has some interesting rankings. They have Ward as the 2nd pick in a SF league over Hampton and Tet.

I do have such a decision to make with the 2nd pick. I wasn’t really considering Ward, but I am giving it some thought now. I went contrarian last year taking Daniels over MHjr and really worked well for me.

As much as I love the content as a listener, I will go so far as to say the actual rankings / tiers are disqualifying unless they're backed with an exceptional track record of past success.

I guess he's somewhat consistent, because listening to the show last week left me with the befuddled impression that I should trade the 1.3 for the 1.12 and 2.12.

If you want to say Jeanty and Hunter are in their own tiers, that's fine. But if I'm to understand 16 players occupy tier 3, it better include a fascinating rationale for why the ADP early-mid 1st round guys suck or are overrated, along with an extremely compelling case for why guys selected on Day 3 of the NFL draft are underrated and belong in the same tier. Did he really label Travis Hunter a RB? If so, I would conclude the whole thing was just rushed out too quickly.

On another note, the resident draft guru stated in the middle of 1st round draft coverage that he only expected THREE RBs to be selected in the first TWO days of the draft. There were six, five of which were fairly chalk. A couple more narrow misses at the top of round 4. I'm sorry, but when that's your objective assessment on how you're expecting the draft to unfold relative to the talent that you've spent countless hours evaluating, I might still care about what you have to say about these guys, but not sure I can put any stock at all into Omarion Hampton as your RB9.
