Blount has grade 2 MCL tear (1 Viewer)

Ignore the rotoworld blue words, those guys are biased . . .

if they like a guy, they will explain away a bad performance, and if they hate a guy, they will dismiss a good performance . . .

grab and stash Lumpkin if you have room - Graham is 31 and may not be able to carry the load . . . of course Freeman and Williams stink right now so neither back will get any GL looks until the passing game reheats . . .

The blue words seem pretty accurate for a grade 2 tear.

News: WQYK-AM 1010 in Tampa reports Bucs RB LeGarrette Blount will miss "several weeks" with a Grade 2 MCL sprain. The St. Petersburg Times reports Blount is expected to miss 1-2 games with a left knee injury. The paper cites sources said Blount is doubtful for Week 6 against the Saints and questionable for Week 7 against the Bears (in London).

And week 8 is their bye week

Crap I was traveling when I heard the news. My opponent this week (division rival) same record picked up EGraham. I have Blount. McGahee is on a bye with Rivers and Decker and anyone else scoring for me. Boohoo. I managed to pick up AVANT.

You guys are saying 6 weeks? for Blount? I'd better not trade McGahee. I've been shopping him. Freaking MCLs and Hammy's this year.

Keep us updated.

I'm a Blount fan and I hate saying this. But I'm predicting that Graham will start the rest of the year with Blount being the goaline change of pace back. The Bucs offense has been exposed. When Blount is in, they run. When Graham is in, it's a pass. Defenses are getting tipped and Freeman can't make a play.

When Graham is in as the starter, it keeps defenses honest. They don't know if it's a run or pass play. The percentage of plays they are able to execute will go up just by making this move alone.

As a side project, I am really hoping the coaching staff will work with Blount on his receiving skills. Blount NEEDS to have this in his talents if Tampa Bay ever wants to make that "next" step.
