Boley week 2? (1 Viewer)

OK if Osi is out will Boley stay on the field for all snaps? man I hope the giants wake up and leave Boley the human tackle machine on the field!!!

He looked really good in some of the preseason action I saw (covered a lot of shorter passing routes) and was surprised he only popped a 4-1-0 vs. Carolina. I don't think he's a bad bet for a rebound regardless of whether Osi plays or not.

he only popped 4-1-0 because he was on the bench for 25% of the snaps!! if he continues to get benched in the base D he is average, if he sees all downs he will be a top 15 linebacker. So Osi being hurt right now is very important because it would force Kiwanuka to stay at DE and not rotate to WLB

So....clearly, this is a guy to play based on matchups. Indy's passing attack warranted a faster linebacking group and Boley was on the field for almost the entire game and put up a monster tackle game.

Don't know if the Giants were happy with their "big" base in week 1, but as long as they face a quality offense, Boley should be better.

Yeah, this could be a mess all year. Fewell wasn't doing all these radical sub-packages in his base D alignments last year in Buffalo. I hope it was either just a temporary thing or he has realized that he should go back to a more basic lineup. Boley is so valuable with normal playing time that it will be tough to not play or cut him. Hopefully something will come out of NY that gives us a better idea of what to expect moving forward.

So......1 solo vs. the Titans shows that Boley will be purely a matchup play.

Great versus a passing team, horrible vs. a running team. Should be OK vs. a balanced team.

I had to start him thanks to Cooper & Levy (I could have started Levy, but didn't trust him yet).

Basically a nickle backer it seems.
