Sort of along the line of JT's bookmaker thread. Simply pick the division winner with the percentages factored in. You have an imaginary $100 to bet on each division, who do you take?

Indy at even money to win that division is money in the bank.

Where are you getting Indy even money? :lmao:

Edit- Jets, Ravens, Colts (big), Chargers (huge)

I think I'd be betting the favorites here. Minimum 2 of Colts, SD, Balt, and NE will win the division IMO.

I'd consider some 2nd place teams like NYJ or Cincy, but in general those payouts aren't even close to enough to justify picking the lower tier teams.

I think Pittsburgh could be a nice bet. I don't think the Bengals are as good as their record last year, and Baltimore has some major holes on defense, especially if Reed doesn't make it back.

The Steelers schedule is pretty nice while ben is out, so they should be able to at least tread water. 3-2 seems very doable through those first 6 weeks and they could beat Atlanta or Baltimore during that stretch too.

The Baltimore pass defense is scaring me but I have to stick with them, Bengals just play too tough of a schedule. They should be able to keep enough pressure on the QB to negate the loss a bit

What's the source of your odds? The ones I've seen have the Steelers favored over the Bengals as 2nd choice in the North and the Jets as AFC East favorites as 2 examples.

Here's the Odds from Bodog for all the divisions:

(arrows show my choices based on these odds)

AFC East:

Jets +130

Patriots +130 <-----

Dolphins +325

Bills +2000

AFC North:

Ravens -120

Steelers +250

Bengals +275 <-----

AFC South:

Colts -160 <-----

Titans +350

Texans +350

Jaguars +1000

AFC West:

Chargers -333

Broncos +600

Raiders +700 <-----

Chiefs +750

Will post bodog NFC odds in that thread.

I just randomly assigned based on what I felt would be perceived odds. I am going to do this again next week and most weeks throughout the preseason. I am going to adjust the lines to try and get action evenly distributed. Obviously I need to adjust Indy a lot.

Didn't mean to give you a hard time, it's a great thread idea :) Figured it'd be interesting to see what it was like with the real odds (I took bodog mainly because they were easy to find). Interesting to see the Steelers fan rating the Bengals at a shorter price than Pittsburgh.Overhead at the MOP casino must be pretty steep though with those short prices on the long-shots :)Cheers-QG
