Brady Quinn - to be dealt in the off-season ? (1 Viewer)

It seems like a disproportionately high percentage of these rumors come out of Denver. Must be the thin air!
:goodposting: didn't they break the news about a lone gunman on the Grassy Knoll?I think they also spread the rumor that the 1969 Lunar Landing was actually filmed in the Nevada desert.
Is PFT based out of Denver?
anderson>>>>>bradythey'd be smart to keep anderson. too bad they might not get much for brady since no one else seemed to be interested in him during the draft.
I would expect a low first, maybe a high second. I just can't see a mid to high first being paid for BQ.
If anyone believes that Brady Quinn's value has gone down then they don't know what they are talking about. Brady Quinn had showed so much in camp and in preseason that the Cleveland coaches felt complete confidence in trading away Frye after one quarter of this year. Everything that Weis said about Quinn elevating ND to wins has solid evidence with the golden dome nosedive this season. Weis said Quinn would be one of the top QBs in the NFL in a few years and that he reminded him of Tom Brady. It wasn't just Wies hyperboyle, many scouts said Quinn was the best prepared rookie QB prospect to start in the league that they had seen in years. Livingston throws this out as a hypothetical. He speculates that Quinn would be available if Derek Anderson continues to start. The Browns can easily re-sign DA and carry both QBs they have the second highest salary cap in the NFL. They have paid out the lowest cap to the QB position over the last three years. This year, Quinn won't hit ANY start incentives and his base salary as well as DA's base are dirt cheap. The only paid out an $8.5 million signing bonus which was $23 million LESS than what the Raiders paid to JaMarcus Russell or $5 million LESS than what Tom Brady/Peyton/Farve earn in salary. The Browns don't HAVE to trade away either Quinn or Anderson. The Browns have no reason to trade away either QB unless they get a tempting offer and late first round pick insn't even close to tempting, its absurd.
What would be absurd is if the Browns could get a 1st round pick for either of those two QBs and DIDN'T take it, when they have the worst defense in football.
And 1 1st round pick will not fix their defense either. There will be no fire sales in a rush to fix their def.
