well what is he going to say, "i just want to play 2 quarters and then kick it on the sidelines." Not saying he won't play 3Q+ but his comments hardly add insight.

I had Brady last year and sat him in week 17. He ended up playing most of the game and putting up decent #s. I expect the same this year. If you have another GOOD option, I would sit him, but not for Boller/Orton/Carr, ect.

It's a very difficult situation, no doubt about it. Like you said, last season he played nearly the entire game in a meaningless Week 17 game and threw 30 passes. That would seem to indicate he's going to play quite a bit this week since the Patriots actually have something to play for. The flipside is the Pats had a first-round bye locked up last season so they may not have wanted Brady to have too much rest heading into the playoffs. Given how this is Belichick we may not get any clue as to what's going to happen until the game actually is going on, which of course doesn't do anybody any good. I have Brady in a start-2 QB league and right now he's in my starting lineup because the available options on the WW are not very appealing. I do think Brady plays at least a half which means he has a shot at 2 TD passes which would be at least a respectable amount of production. Last season, Favre played only one half of a meaningless Week 17 and tore the Bears up, passing for 200 yards and 2 TDs so it's not out of the question to believe Brady could do as much in one half of play as a lesser QB could do in a full game.
Like I said, right now I have Brady in my starting lineup and if we get word between now and Sunday that he'll play at least 3 quarters he'll stay there. If we hear he'll play less than that I'll roll the dice and go with someone else in all probability.
