Branch or Engram... (1 Viewer)

Can't find alot of information on either one of these guys right now. Seems Branch was practicing last week as he tries to come back from a reconstructed knee. I've heard everything from next week to week 5 for a return.

Engram's return from a shoulder is even less clear. I'm thinking either one of these guys could be solid WR#2/WR#3 material once back in the lineup given the sate of the Hawks offense.

Any recent news on their return or thoughts to share as to their value once they do return?

I picked up Engram via trade and am being patient with him. We start 3 WRs and I have Marshall, Jennings, Welker, Colston (hurt), and Engram (hurt). I'm banking on Engram to provide nice bye-week filler/roster depth once he gets back. If you don't get any ppr though I think Engram's value is lower.

If you've got some dead weight on your roster you can cut, heck yeah. You know they'll see a LOT of looks when they get back.

The Seahawks hope they'll both be back in Week 5 (they have a Week 4 bye). I think this is a good time to grab one of them if they're available in your league. I like Engram a lot in PPR leagues.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that both of them are on the WW (small benches in my league) and I'm trying to gauge when to pull the trigger. Don't want to waste a roster spot for weeks on end, but don't want to miss out either - especially on Branch.

I don't have a good handle on Branch's ability to come back after the reconstruction however - how do other WR's come back after a similar injury? Will he be hampered all year or should he come back good as new? With the rash of injuries to the SEA WR's, I've got to imagine these guys getting a ton of targets when they return to the lineup.

Meaning now or during the bye week (bolded part above)?

My league has tight roster limits but I don't want to wait any longer. I'm putting in a claim for Engram this week (PPR league) and dropping Galloway. I'm at the end of the WW list for this week but I'm hoping Engram isn't at the top of anybody's radar right now.

I'm thinking Branch is more valuable in non-PPR (my league) but again, not sure how others come back from the type of knee reconstruction he had. I've got to believe they're rushing him along as quikcly as possible given the rough start, but he must still be showing instbaility or ill-effects from the injury.

Kind of related - does Hasselbeck deserve a look during this time - before engram/branch get back....
I think he's a great buy low because things will get better when Engram and Branch return. I'm not as confident in Branch as I am Engram but the WR corps will be significantly better real soon.

:goodposting: Engram is a nice WR3 option in PPR leagues. Not sure who to cut, but I'm going to pull the trigger.
