Giants RB Jacobs undergoes surgery on wrist

Brandon Jacobs was spotted at Madison Square Garden Saturday wearing a sling on his left arm and a cast on his left hand.

As it turns out, he underwent wrist surgery recently. Jacobs reportedly "didn't seem to be in pain" while speaking to fans and guaranteed he'll be ready for training camp. Still, his status is uncertain for post-draft camps. Wrist injuries can be problematic for running backs, with Shaun Alexander being an example. Jacobs needs to get healthy. He's in a contract year. There's plenty of time for a wrist to heal up.

As far as drills, spring time practices and the mental recognition/repetition, he can hold the ball in his other hand and wear a red jersey.

Move Bradshaw up a notch or two.
I moved him up prior to seeing this. Jacobs will be in and out of games all year long if history holds true.
I'd like to know if the Gmen have hooked him up with his own trainer or nutritionist etc. That's the kind of thing that usually comes out when a guy shows up all buff for camp, not before then. Isn't he the one that spent alot of time with adonis Eddie George last summer? It's not much of a stretch to imagine a followup conversation with Eddie about staying in shape, getting a trainer, eating right etc. Maybe he got ahold of Tiki for advice? He was a tough little bugger.I wonder how Brandon's reacted, if at all, to being injured more often than he probably expected.
