Just looking for updates...Last thing I have seen was from the 20th
Sep 20 Jacobs (knee) is looking healthy, but has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Redskins, the Giants' web site reports. (Jacobs) is coming along well,” coach Tom Coughlin said. “He feels good. If you didn’t know differently, you would have him out there.”
Recommendation: Good news for Jacobs owners as it sounds like he could be back by Week 4, the lower end of his 3-5 week range. Of course, with the emergence of Derrick Ward, it remains to be seen how the carries will be split once Jacobs does return

Like I have said many times, I don't care about fantasy football in this case. I care about the Giants and I want them to play the best players that give them the best chance to win. Anyway, if it's RBBC like I am saying, I doubt either will be much more than a decent flex starter in fantasy football. How many leagues do you own Jacobs?
ETA - I have been saying to watch out for Ward since long before the season started and Jacobs got injured. My comments/opinions have little to do with fantasy football and much more to do with the Giants.

and also quite entertaining. Thanks.
Jacobs is still a strong RB2 contender in a TD heavy league, but I do believe the injury and Ward's erosion of at least some touches hurts his value in a FBG-standard scoring league and even more in PPR. As others have mentioned, over the season-long haul, it may work out best for Jacobs to be kept under 20 touches a game anyway.
