Brandon Lloyd Released (1 Viewer)

It's a shame because Lloyd is more physically gifted than Marvin Harrison. If his head was in the right place and he was in the right team circumstances like Harrison is with Manning, you're looking at another Jerry Rice-caliber career. Instead, he's indeed another Freddie Mitchell.
Big fan of your shtick.
You think Marvin Harrison is a better athlete than Brandon Lloyd? There's no confusing who is a better football player or WR, but better athlete?
I think you were being way to nice in regards to Lloyd athletic ability and threw a low blow via Harrison. Though without getting into too much of the particulars...I get the point you were trying to make. For all the others that are sweating the specifics in comparison...calm down he was just trying to say that he has talent and wasted it. Sheesh!

It's easy to understand all the frustration with Lloyd, especially by the Washington fans. A combination of his arrogance, inmaturity, and alot of money was a recipe for disaster. Snyder should have done more homework.

WTS, he's still young and if someone can get this young man to drop the Jeff George tude (may be too much to ask, whats in the water out there in Champaign?), some team could get a pretty good receiver.... cheap. Bears OC Ron Turner (Lloyds former college coach) may be the best man for the job. Lloyd could be a nice compliment to Boldin and Fitz in Arizona if Bryant Johnson walks. From all I've heard and read about Lloyd thru the years, he is prolly a long shot at best to get it turned around.

It's known that he doesn't put in the long hours to get better or adapt to a new system. The only chance he has to slightly stay around in the NFL is if it's a system he's been in before (other than Al Saunders). For some reason, he just thought he was all that and a bad of chips, so I doubt he all of a sudden learns that he needs to work his butt off to make anything work.

What talent did he ever have to waste? :lmao: Was it his amazing 4.6 speed?

His amazing 6'-180lbs size?

Was it his amazing ability to go over the middle? Block? Fight for the extra yard?

Was it his amazing hands?

The guy was a 4th round pick for a reason--he was not very talented to begin with. :bye:

I never thought he had very much talent either. I remember in training camp a few years ago there were several reports that Lloyd and Barlow were driving around San Jose in their big rap-mobile blaring music and acting like fools. Its sad that Erickson had these two guys as his top RB and WR, with Rattay as the starting QB. Erickson wasn't the problem, look what he did last year at ASU.There were several times where Rattay threw the out route or slant to Lloyd and he would jump to catch the ball only to fall short of the first down. On replay he never needed to jump, but was just more comfortable doing so. Getting a 3rd and 4th for him was the biggest steal in Niner trade history. Getting a 4th for Barlow and a 6th for Rattay rank up there as great trades as well.

Wrong thread. I thought he was releasing another rap album. He's apparently just as good at rap as he is as an NFL receiver. Which is why there isn't a new CD.
