Brandon Marshall and Pro Bowl MVP (1 Viewer)

We saw again tonight the kind of potential Brandon Marshall has. If Miami can ever get him a high quality QB, he can be a top 3 WR.

Pro bowl isn't a real game.. Pro bowl MVP isn't a real award..Marshall is a good WR, but this game and award meant nothing..
Yes and no. It isn't real in the sense that the offense and defensive schemes are vanilla. And it doesn't count. But it is real and significant in that it involves the best players playing each other at every position on both sides of the ball. If you can do it in a game like this, you have talent. And it is the first time that Marshall has played with a competent QB in several years. Even with Orton and a young Cutler you are talking about average QBs at best. Today we get to see him with a top QB like Roethlisberger and Rivers and he showed what he can do.

... against guys who arent going full-out, in a game where the contact isnt full-out, and where the game plan was to throw the ball and throw the ball and throw the ball and throw the ball...

His talent has never been the issue. Hell, it really hasnt been his QB either. Its the two peas for a brain he has rattling around b/t his ears.

This game did nothing to reduce that issue.

Marshall obviously has talent - but the defensive players barely even try in this game.

I would have been more impressed if he did this against a team of practice squads players. But regardless how good the defensive players were, they are worthless when they are not trying.

as an only child I once won 6 consectutive MVP's between the ages of 6-11 during my Pro Bowl NERF football games.....the kicker was not only did I set the record for most TD catches, but also for TD passes, as I was chucking it to myself....made some highlight reel type diving catches in the middle of imaginary triple coverage....I was a beast.....unless it was really windy...
