Brandon Marshall vs James Jones (1 Viewer)

I'm looking at drafting one of these guys behind my starting core to give them time to develop. What does everyone think of their future and what they can become?

I've read some pretty good things about Jones but he's behind in the depth chart and "soon" will have a new QB throwing to their WR's. Marshall on the other hand is #2 and a 31 year old Stokley could be pushed to the side like Clayton is doing to Mason in Baltimore and, without much proof yet, has a young QB that seems to have what it takes to succeed in the NFL throwing to them for a long time.

What does everyone think?

Let's see:- Which WR is already starting?- Which WR will have the superior QB throwing to him in the future?
Depends on your league rules (how long you can keep a player). Jones has to beat out Driver or Jennings and Driver just signed a new contract thru 2010. Long term he looks to be a top notch receiver but he may have to beat out Jennings. Thats is possible as Favre does not have confidence that he will be where he is supposed to be. If Jones can sell Favre before Jennings then he could get the job. Favre commented after the 1st pre-season game that the ONLY WR he can count on being were he is supposed to be when he lets go a pass is Driver. But, its Jennings job to lose. Comments from Favre and McCarthy now seem to point to Brett playing 2-4 more years (if he can keep the body in shape). Jennings has been compared to Marvin Harrison (but he ain't there yet). In the long run Jones and Jennings will be a dynamic duo.Marshall seems to be injury prone but just the other day in practice he learned that he could play thru injury. Right now I would say Marshall is a safer bet. 6 months from now that could change but right now Marshall is a starter and Jones it not - yet.=======Note: If it were Jones and Marshall on the same team I would take Jones.

Marshall is a starter. Stokley is only listed as a starter because Mashall wasnt practicing due to his injury. Marshall has been the #2 WR while practicing in Dallas these past couple of days.

I like both alot and own Jones in about 75% of my Dynasties. That being said I'd go with Marshall. At this point is closer to fantasy success than James Jones. J Jones has some obstacles to overcome in order to be viable in fantasy, 1 being Brett Farves retirement and 2 being Driver/Jennings in place. Shanny WANTS Marshall to be his WR2 and he got a young solid QB.
