The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have called up 3B Brandon Wood from Triple-A to take the roster spot of rookie RP Kevin Jepsen, who has been placed on the 15-day DL with back spasms.(Updated 04/21/2009). Fantasy AnalysisWood is one of Anaheim's most prized prospects, and hit .346 with four homers and eight RBI in seven Triple-A games. With Vladimir Guerrero out injured, Wood could get everyday at-bats at the DH spot if he continues to hit well, and has the potential to play his way into the Angels lineup somehow and maybe even hit 30 homers. Grab him in all AL-only and deeper mixed leagues right now if he's available. Jepsen had been having back issues the last week or so, but wasn't worth worrying about in Fantasy play when healthy anyway.
