Breakout TE you can grab in round 10+ is...... (1 Viewer)

Jared Coook, He seems to be falling far in drafts. I don't understand after the way he ended the season. He did what everyone was waiting for. I think he is a smart pick if you are waiting on a TE. Grab two guys later in the draft.

Stats for

Week 15 9-103

week 16 8-169 and a TD!!

Whats not worth gambling on here guys really???

I've been all about Kyle Rudolph since late last season. With all the training camp reports pumping him up, and the #2 target for Ponder wide open, I expect Rudolph to have a nice season considering his 13 round ADP (FF Calculator)

His best game was 3 for 44 yards. He won't be on any of my teams. I did like him coming out of college though.

He was a rookie with no training camp, I wouldn't buy into the weak rookie year too much.

If you listen to the audible, Cook doesn't play that many snaps. He's effective per play but with the addition of Kendall Wright he will see less targets and unless his playing time increases the chances he is anything more than a low end te1 is minimal.

Unless you are at a sweet spot for Graham or Gronk I think there is a ton of TE talent to mine in the late rounds.

Just need to decide early if you want to scramble during the season to find a RB to fill your lineup or develop a TE? I'd rather invest in a RB in most cases.

I really like Tamme this season.
Tamme has been going in the 8th or 9th.I really like Housler and Chandler for after the 10th round.
I like Housler in very last rounds(after the 11th) if he's still there.Rudolph if there in the 10th.
We're writing guys off who were rookies playing with rookie QBs now? Sheesh.
Judging by how early they went in rookie drafts I think alot of people aren't writing them off. They played together at Stanford and a rookie QB usually goes to the TE security blanket. I think Fred Davis and Keller are undervalued-if either are there late I will take them.

Jared Cook has been touted as a sleeper for at least the last two seasons and has never done anything worthwhile. His quarterback situation was not great last year and has not improved this year (and may be downgraded, at least initially, if/when Locker takes over).

What do people see in this guy?

I just think for this year it is unlikely that Kyle Rudolph makes a huge jump in production, but it takes two or three years usually, if it happens at all. His QB is still Ponder, not Tom Brady or Drew Brees.

What do you consider a huge jump? In my opinion, considering he was 26/249/3 last year, I can all but guaruntee a huge jump in production. Im not saying he's going to have elite production, but I think he's a top 10-12 TE this year.

Greg Olsen has crazy value in the 13th/14th.
:goodposting:Olsen and Shockey combined for 995/9 last year, there's a big void after Smiff in the competition for targets, Cam should develop as a passer, and most importantly, Olsen himself is pretty talented as a receiver. As long as his price doesn't shoot up, he's a guy I'm targeting in every redraft league.

Solid camp, 1st full off season with the Vikes, young QB that will need a big security blanket to dump the ball to in spots. I see Rudolph as a potential top 10-12 this season, very similar build to a guy named Gronkowski...he is going to astonish the average FF owner this year.

Gresham(probably earlier than 10th, not convinced he'll be consistant)

Cook(don't like him as a sleeper as much as some do but if he's there after the 10th,OK )

Tamme(Peyton Manning, but Decker & Thomas will get a lot of targets, could surprise though)

Olsen(After 10th yeah but expect some yuck games, with Cam 400-500/5tds possible ceiling)

Kyle Rudolph(Like this guy's upside. If Ponder improves Rudolph could be the 2nd leading receiver for the Vikes. I definitely like taking a shot at him late.

Fleener(Some might get enamored with the rookie & take him before the 10th. Not me. Worth a look later.

Like the OP said, 17-272-1 in only two back to back games late in the season last year. Now we can debate the quality of competition those performances came against, but those are absolutely filthy numbers for a TE (over an extremely limited sample size). Any TE that even can post stats like that should be on our radar.

So his celing is lower than what he's actually done three out of the last four years?
Srsly. The guy put up 540 yards last year and 5 scores learning the O on the fly at the same time the ROOKIE qb was learning on the fly. Can't put production already down on paper as a ceiling. Maybe a floor? :hophead:

I might be bitter because I got sucked into cook's hype last year, but before you crown his ### off a big game vs jax bear in mind I'm pretty sure they were running that te friendly cover 2.keller - 6/101/1olsen + shockey - 10/87/1graham - 10/132/1gresham - 5/21/1houston - 6/79/1tamme - 6/75/0houston - 5/51/1the guy had 2 good games and a lot of crappy ones.

A solid starter in a 12 team ppr league. So something like 65 for 900 and 6-8 TDs.

It's interesting you say this. If his QB can get him the ball (and he can stay healthy) he could surprise a lot of people this year. Iv'e got him on the scout team just waiting for any inkling that he's going to be involved a lot this year. For a while they were keeping him in blocking a lot - but when they let him go he could really make some plays on the ball. Boss is there to steal some time, I know - but if Moeaki can get back to form and they decide to use him more in the passing game I think he's the better receiver by far. There's a whole 'lotta "ifs" there, though. Which is why he's on the scout team.

Bump finley and Jared Cook. Ok, now that I've said what seems to be Pavlov's conditioned response to every TE question:

Tamme (if you can actually get him that late)

Moeaki-Probably a solid coin-flip of great results if you are picking late.

Dwayne Allen-Who knows if he will be really productive but I think he will be every bit as productive as Fleenor, who will likely go a lot higher.

Kendricks-Everything I've read, listened to in intervies, and saw (briefly) yesterday, suggests that the Rams are really working on very short drops, lots of quick slants and crossing routes, etc, and I think he could be a guy with a really solid number of catches, better than average yards, and 5-7 TDs.

Not sure why everyone is so infatuated with Tamme. hes a subpar talent with a diminished Manning and a worse offense than Indy when he did well. And the guy has dreadful hands.
