Brees, A. Smith, Grossman, or Cutler. (1 Viewer)

How would you rank them in a dynasty league?

Brees: Steady guy with a decent supporting cast. Solid if not spectacular numbers this year and pretty much the norm for his career.

A. Smith: Top pick pedigree and has shown a big improvement over last year. Good numbers with a shaky supporting cast. Can he take his game to another level?

Grossman: Big numbers prior to this week. Monday night scared me however. Seems to have that gunslinger mentality that the top guys tend to have.

Cutler: In a completely different boat due to his not yet starting. However, he flashed in the preseason and seems to have the DEN job next year. He'll step into a great situation with an above average supporting cast.

IMO, Brees is the guy for right now but Smith and Grossman are emerging. Cutler is the wildcard.

My thoughts:

#1. A. Smith

#2. Cutler

#3. Brees

#4. Grossman

1. Brees - He has a steady backfield and big-play capability with Bush.

2. A. Smith - Off to a good start but is on an awful team.

3. Grossman - Chicago is a defensive team so who knows how long the offense will continue to gel like they have been prior to the Arizona game. Don't let the MNF game scare you away.

4. Cutler - I don't think he'll be brought in next year. With a strong defense, the Broncos need a game manager, not a gunslinger. As long as Plummer plays steady through out this season, he should be coming back again next season.

Great topic.

from a dynasty perspective, I vote:

(1) Cutler - you might have to wait another year.

(2) Brees - His receiving options are top 5.

(3) Smith - Lots of question marks in SF.

(4) Grossman - Monday night's performance is still stuck on my mind.

Bonus comment:

I'm biased - I'm a Cowboy fan and a Jason Campbell owner. I hope Brunell crashes and burns over the next week or two, and Campbell takes over the reins. Generally, people are down on Campbell, but I think he has muy potential, still.

I've only caught a glimpse or two of him, but his passing touch reminds me of Aikman.

Call me crazy.

It's funny how the one bad game for Grossman seemingly justified the doubts in many minds regarding his value. Granted it was only one game but man, was it a BAD one.
