The NFL is reviewing allegations that Brett Favre sent "racy messages and photos" to a sideline reporter while he played for the Jets.

"We are reviewing the matter," said league spokesman Greg Aiello. The NFL can't have taken the alleged incident that seriously if this is the first time they've explored it. The messages and photos were believed to be sent to former Jets employee Jenn Sterger. Favre left numerous awkward voicemails on Sterger's phone, and allegedly sent her pictures of his private parts.

What does he see in her?

If that is Favre's weiner, I have to say . . . it's disappointing . . .
sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction, mr. garrison. but ponder on this. what a handsome and majestic #### it must have been in it's prime. old age catches up to everyone. even those with the most beautiful cocks of all cocks.

Even if this is true, I just don't understand why it is a topic of national discussion or a matter for the National Football League to investigate. Why don't they investigate their horrible rule books and fix that and then get some professional referees.

He didn't break a law that I am aware of.

He isn't this woman's boss, so it isn't sexual harassment.

It's bad taste.

It's tacky.

It's stupid.

But if true, it is an issue for he and his wife to discuss. My god, when is this crazy "moralization" of the NFL going to stop? If Joe Namath had had a cell phone and a media like there is today, how often would he have been in the news? How about old Terry Bradshaw--who was a womanizer. It's just silly.

Any unwanted sexual advance is sexual harassment, doesn't have to stem from someone in a position of power over someone else. That's just one common way you hear about sexual harassment because people with power have been known to abuse it. However, I totally agree with you. If Sterger had brought this up as a complaint, absolutely investigate it. Since she hadn't, and instead was bragging about the dorky nature of his feeble attempts at wooing, this is an issue for Favre and his wife and that's it. Unless she complains there's only one third of a story coming out here, the third party who granted access to these files after Sterger stopped cooperating with Delaurio months ago. That's not enough to determine if misbehavior occurred here. We don't know what Sterger communicated back to him, if anything at all. He could have sent these pics unbidden, which is likely. It's not out of the realm of possibility that she asked for #### shots to add to her collection. If she complains or steps forward at any point then it is an issue. Without that I don't see this going farther.

I think I recognize childress's hand in those pics.

Well this is ridiculous... I am appalled. He should get a six game suspension that is eventually reduced to four.

 Also agree with ScottyFargo about the harassment angle, but add me to the list of those that thinks the NFL has better things to do. Image is important, but there is a line between committing a crime and violating the sanctity of a marriage. There's a morality clause at the University of Georgia which was a factor in former A.D. Damon Evans' ousting and while I'm glad they disciplined him for the DUI, the adultry angle is the business of him and his family.Unfortunately, I understand that the media enjoys publishing more titillating stories and as women have been treated with greater equality, these stories no longer get swept under the rug as much. I just hope that if this kind of reporting continues that we see the same kind of coverage about women in power because they are out there, too. Anyhow, Favre is a fool for this behavior and so are the countless people that try to justify similar acts. It still doesn't change my desire to watch him throw the football to Randy Moss on Monday night.

After reading the second allegations involving the massage therapists I would alter my comment to say it is important for the NFL to look into this. Although these massage therapists are subcontracted employees, I think the NFL has to make sure that they provide a safe working environment. If this is the reason for the NFL looking into the matter then I wholeheartedly agree.

 I hate Bert, but this shouldn't be an NFL matter at all.

Good point Scotty. It would be different if she had filed an official harassment charge.

It could be a matter of investigation if someone else affiliated with the organization files the complaint. The person subjected to the harassment doesn't have to be the one to complain to force the team to investigate. This is basic employment law. I've had to investigate harassment claims in the workplace against a colleague even when the person subjected to the behavior wasn't the one making the complaint. If one person perceives this kind of behavior creates an unfavorable work environment, its on....

That's a little weird, isn't it? Were you expecting John Holmes and do you look at many penises in amazement/disappointment? Who are you - the Duke co-ed undercover?

Gentlemen|

If true, this is a suspend-able action.

eSPN fired Salisbury for the same

If an employee of my company did this to a female employee, even if said employee thought it was funny, if HR found out about it the sender of the pornographic material would be fired.

Again if true, Goodell will take action

Bottom line is that until Deanna files divorce papers then I'm not going to believe it.

Now let's get down to what's really important.

Who is good enough with photoshop to make me an avatar of a rooster wearing Jets crocs?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I WOULD LOVE YOU FOREVER FOR THIS!

favre was a well know player back in the mid 90's, wouldn't doubt he's still a horny guy but i don't believe that the penis in question is his.

This is so dumb. The timing of it is very interesting since they are playing the JETS this MNF. For all we know she could be making this up as a distraction for the Jets to beneifit them. Or Bernard Berrian could've been upset with Farvre for not throwing more his way. And framed Favre or something. This is idiotic. Not saying it couldn't have happened. BUt I find it unlikely. And the timing interesting considering the Jets and Vikings play each other this week.

actually this story is kind of old (preseason).

Why? Dudes with power, money and opportunity have it really easy. There are enough studies floating around that during an entire marriage more dudes than not(regradless of income, etc) have at least a single one night stand. Finding a star like Favre who has not ever cheated on his wife is a bigger trick than finding out when and where he did.

This may not have been an isolated incident.

It appears Jenn Sterger wasn't the only woman who received unwanted and inappropriate text messages from Brett Favre while he played for the Jets. Favre also pursued two team massage therapists, according to one of the women.

The woman (who wishes to remain anonymous for now — we'll call her "Mandy") worked as a massage therapist for the team for a couple years, but she says never had an incident with a player until No. 4 showed up at training camp at Hofstra University, where the Jets still worked out in 2008. "He was on the table next to mine," she tells me. "He was looking at my ### the whole time while I worked on another player. He was ... ogling me."

The woman who was massaging Brett that day (massage therapist No. 2, or "Lindsay") exchanged numbers with him. (Mandy claims it's common for players to take the numbers of team-contracted massage therapists should they need additional rubdowns off campus. Yeah, I know. Please don't.)

Lindsay received a text message from Favre, according to Mandy. Lindsay assumed it was for a massage but quickly realized Brett was asking for more. He invited both Lindsay and Mandy back to his hotel room. Mandy claims that the texts became increasingly inappropriate ("just nasty stuff"), but she adds that Brett did apologize when he found out she was married.

This apology over text, however, wasn't enough for Mandy's husband. We'll call him "John".

"I called him on his phone and told him I wanted an apology. He acted all arrogant. He refused to apologize," John tells me in a phone conversation.

Mandy and John say they approached attorneys about the situation but were told that because Mandy was a private contractor, there were no grounds for a harassment case. They didn't pursue anything.
Mandy says she and Lindsay still have some of the text messages.

That doesn't make sense. She was staffed by the Jets, so contractor or not, she would have a claim.
