Brett Favres value takes an upgrade with Moss (1 Viewer)

While I dont think this gets Favre in the top 12 or so QB's I do see he becoming a Qb in the range of Joe Flacco / Donovan McNabb so around 12-13 in the QB rankings.

Do you agree or if not where would you put Farve for your rankings?

I think he's top 10 moving forward. Then again I already thought he'd be better coming out of the bye. He's looked awful but he wasn't great to start last year. I think it's a lot of rust and lack of camp that played to his sucking more than him losing it.

With Randy Moss (assuming he doesn't tank), Harvin, Peterson, and Shiancoe, I think Favre is bottom top 10, but top 10 nonetheless. And his ceiling is much higher than that.

I'd rank him 7-10 right now and he could move up. Imagine if he gets Sidney Rice back any time soon. If Rice gets back to go along with Moss Favre could be top 3 pick LOL

I'll be conservative and put him in the 10-12 range with the potential to get in the 6-10 range if Moss blows up as I think he could.

Favre is probably on waivers in many leagues. Who would people be willing to drop for him? Eli Manning, Flacco, Big Ben?

One thing to remember about Favre and Moss is they love to prove people wrong. Both guys have huge chips on their shoulders. You now put the two of them together - something both guys have wanted to see happen - with plenty of people saying negative things about them and you're going to have two very talented future Hall of Famers with something to prove. If nothing else, the drama of the NFL season just got turned up about a million times.

I have both of them in different places...and it could be gold.It could also backfire in terms of INTs with Favre throwing more up even into coverage.Thankfully, my league with Favre I don't get penalized for INTs. So chuck em up to Randy all you want Brett.Just happy I don't have to start Knox at WR to cover Moss's bye.

Favre was headed to waivers before this news broke. Now he is a hold.

If Favre puts up another stinker on Monday you might be able to get him from his owner. If he lights it up to show off Moss you don't have a chance. Another bump when Rice gets back so he could still be worth it.

If you own Favre and a crazy offer shows up involving Manning, Brees, etc. You must consider it. Now could be the best time to sell based on the dream of what could be. He's nearly as old as me and I get hurt walking to the fridge. I'm still holding onto Favre though. Live the dream baby!

Believe me, I'm very happy you do not have to start Knox to cover his bye. Please be sure to keep me informed with your team updates so I will not lay awake at night wondering what's going on with sho nuff's roster.

:goodposting: once rice returns, i see 6-10 being his floor.
When do you think he really returns?
no idea, heard he's still on crutches... week 10 or 11. in time for the fantasy playoffs :)
Thats without playing or practicing all year too.Not sure how much fantasy love he will be delivering this year.

Thanks for your concern.Glad you came into a thread and offered nothing on the actual topic.

:goodposting:You're so eager to flood any topic that mentions Favre you just had to post a comment that served no purpose whatsoever. FTR, my first post offered an actual opinion. Where's something any of us should care about in your post?

It's called PM, why don't you both take your love affair there and spare the rest of us your pissing match.

I addressed the actual topic about his production from the standpoint of actually having Favre on my roster.Perhaps quite whining about who posted something and what was posted and try actually reading the whole thing rather than whining about one line...you know, actually contribute.

I'd kill for a subscriber special edition page covering the impact of this trade to both teams. Perhaps a special round-table focused on just this.

- Who should we buy/sell

- Where would we slot everyone going forward

- What is the ceiling/floor for players

- Any expected fall out (future moves)

- Who should I start and should I drop Betts for Ward as my #6 RB

Favre goes way up in the rankings. For those of you in dynasty leagues, I also consider it even money that he comes back next year (if there is football), since Moss signed a new deal.

not a chance..Hes been getting his butt kicked and has to be regretting his decision up to this point. Moss will make 2010 bearable now but no way is he back in 2011.

How did I forget about that? Thx.

Last year, Favre was a Top-5 QB with Rice in play.

This year in many leagues he's not even Top-30.

So, now that Favre has Moss:

-> Who is starting him vs the Jets on MNF?

This is pure gut.

I'm starting Favre. Of course it's a 2 qb league and with Brady on a bye I'm stuck with the old man and Kolb or someone off the ww like Alex Smith.
