I'm going to say Quick will end up as the top fantasy scoring rookie WR in 2012.

Why? Because St. Louis has no one that can keep him off the field. Amendola is good, but is just a possesion receiver, he is not a dynamic receiver. Danario, who knows. We keep waiting for his talent to emerge but we are always disappointed. Steve Smith is a question mark with his health, plus I never thought he was a quality receiver, he was in a good situation in NY. Here are the other WR's that St. Louis has... a collection of five and dime store receivers:

Brandon Gibson

Greg Salas

Austin Pettis

Chris Givens

Dominique Curry

Quick will see plenty of playing time and should become the big play guy for the Rams. Bradford is a question mark, but he should perform better than last year. With a new coaching staff and new attitude in St. Louis, Quick should be a focus of the offense this year.

Given the lack of talent at WR, Pretty decent chance he's the focus of the opposing defense as well if he's truly a breakout candidate.

Danario isn't practicing.

As for the focus of the D, the only way this guy is the highest scoring rookie WR is if the Rams run so much with SJ39, dump off passes to Amendola/Smith/Kendricks (who?) and leave the guy in one on one coverage all game, which is likely to happen. Still, he'll be covered by the top corner.

I think the only way he is the top rookie scorer is if he gets a ton of TD's in which they utilize his height and raw ability to catch balls around the goal line. But if they are going to run that much, I don't seem them throwing a ton at the goal line.

I own the guy in both leagues I'm in, but see him nothing more than a stash for this year, with hopes of returns late in the year to give me optimism for 2013

You forgot to wait until the thread was 6 pages before quoting and responding to that. Hippling down?

I could see Quick being the top rookie WR, but that's not as much an endorsement of Quick as much as an acknowledgement of how uncertain the rookie wideouts are this year. It's not like Blackmon and Floyd are certainties to perform right out of the gate.

My surprise pick for #1 rookie WR is Hill. He's not much more raw than Quick, and I like his situation and talent better.

Not to digress, but I'm not sure you watched much of Smith in NY. Before his injury, he was one of the best route runners in the NFL. Incredibly precise and sharp cuts.I'm not sure if he'll every be close to the player he once was, but his success in NY was just as much about his skill as his situation. He was such a valuable commodity and great skillset for a precision passer.

He certainly has a great name. Probably undraftable in redraft due to the Kendricks fiasco last year. But I will keep my eye on him.

In any event, I like St. Louis this year, not really for playoffs but to be really competitive. They pretty much had more injuries than anyone else last year, that will not happen twice, plus Fischer will give them some juice.

Amendola, Salas and rookie Givens have all looked good too. Finnegan is having trouble covering Amendola in the slot. He is amazed how quick Amendola is. And don't sleep on Salas. He is going to be really good. I wish I could think of a comparison, but for some reason I can't. Maybe Boldin ? Just not quite as strong. Although he did come into camp bigger and stronger than last year. He's probably 6'1 210 right now.
