Bring Back Brett Petition and A Letter From Stockholder (1 Viewer)

A "staggering" almost 13,000 have signed... lame to say the least. Those who want him back feel free to sign

From a GB Stockholder for those interested. Figured I'd post it here rather than start a new thread and cause Burning Sensation to click on it and complain some more.

I am a Green Bay Packer stockholder living in Texas. This situation has become absurd.

What an embarrassment. I can honestly say that for the first time I am ashamed of my team. Mark Murphy and Ted Thompson did something that even Brett could not do himself -- they have made him a sympathetic character in all of this.

At this point I am abandoning management’s side on this issue and I want Brett back under center.

I understood management’s stance and principle of moving on but they have brought this to cartoonish proportions. Let Brett show up to camp and have a legitimate chance of earning his job back or release him. If management releases him they need to be replaced ASAP.

It is time to see if our stock certificates really mean we own the team. All stock holders need to contact the Board and demand a vote of no confidence. If we have the majority vote on this then legally they have no choice. If they object we need to start a campaign to appoint a new slate of directors with the sole purpose of bringing integrity and competence back to team management. Everyone needs to start calling the Packers front office and the board of directors. Google their names from the Packer website. We also need to contact as many shareholders as possible.

We realistically have one day to change the current direction by informing them what we are going to do if this embarrassment continues BUT we have until next year to start a website and gather as many stockholders as we can to peacefully and legally overthrow the current Board and upper management for a competent slate, President, and GM.

Like I said there is probably only one day to end the Favre fiasco with a positive outcome (a legitimate chance for him to earn his job back and to be treated like the iconic hero he is regardless of his ego and blame in all of this) before Mark Murphy and Ted Thomspn do something even more stupid than this, but we have all year to prove this is our team legally as well as in our hearts. If no one else will do it I volunteer to run the campaign.

If you contact anyone in the Packers organization please use clean language, no threats. Simply inform them that we are going to replace them next year if this mismanagement continues. Be polite, and do not sound like a crack pot or we will not be taken seriously and we will fail.

Regardless of which side of the Favre issue we were all on at the start, Packer management has taken this issue to the absurd and it is an insult to not only the best quarterback to ever wear the uniform but to every fan and stockholder. I really think it is time for us to prove that our stock certificates aren’t just pretty pieces of paper with the same value as toilet paper.

Staggering 13k?

Seems quite low. You can get 100k to respond to an Amy Winehouse :X poll in a day. With no lead up.

Clearly you missed the " " around staggering... sarcasm, was trying to lay it on thick. Apparently I failed
I kind of got the sarcasm. But that website seemed to think it was a big amount and great response.
I see. I agree. I kind of laughed when I read on the website how thrilled they are with the outcome. 100,000 would be impressive, but even so that's not even a Milwaukee-bordering suburban city such as Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Brown Deer... pretty sad. However, JSonline.com has a poll showing more are anti-Thompson throughout all this fiasco than anti-Favre

This is really getting out of hand, can we get a Brett Favre forum?
You don't need to read them. But for some reason you keep clicking on them. I think the real issue you have is with your own choices
You are right on about this, but what does that have to do with all these Favre threads?
Well, you're the one making the choice to click on the threads and read them. Maybe you should stop if it's causing you that much angst?

Then I look forward to not seeing you in any more threads pertaining to him. I guess you'd rather play the speculation game in the other threads. This is the offseason, and therefore there is not a lot of news except for injuries or "Player X looked great today in camp". TO's not talking, CJ's not talking, this year it's Favre.

at first i was annoyed with this favre thing, now i'm lovin it. as a Cowboys fan this circus is amusing to me, as i dont really care about the packers or favre. this is just a huge distraction that is not helping the packers as a team.

i'd rather not have favre back on favre back on the team that is probably our main competition in the NFC. i'd rather see the rodgers regime begin.

Yeah... seeing as how Rodgers dismantled the Dallas defense way better than Favre did? I'll be honest, I kind of want Rodgers back in too, but at the same time the way GB has handled this is just ridiculous. Both sides are to blame and I wish it would just all go away, but unfortunately it won't all season.

I'm so looking forward to hear from the other thousands of shareholders. After all, they did give donations are "owners" and should be heard.
