**Broncos at Raiders**(+7.5, 40.5) 4:05 (1 Viewer)

Obviously firing Chip Kelly solved everything. This Raiders team is the worst in the NFL in my opinion. I can't see any success on the ground, and Denver can focus on shutting down Bowers, as they can easily man up everyone else. I also think they can get consistent pressure rushing just 4.

The Raiders D kept it close in the 1st meeting, but I would bet against that happening again. I think Evan Engram is a really nice play against a Raiders team that doesn't play TEs well, I like Bo Nix a lot in this one, particularly on the ground if he chooses to.

Broncos-27
Raiders-13

Raiders have been fortunate to face crap coaches -- not unlike their own -- in this series of late. That is not the case anymore, including talent.

Broncos on the road, by 10.

Broncos continue their march to a division title
They have the edge in pretty much every category in this matchup
Visitors should be in control form the start
Easy one...

Broncos- 34

Raiders- 13

Broncos can clinch the common-opponents tiebreaker with the Patriots with a win over the Raiders (the Pats lost to them in week 1)

Someone hates da raiders
And I’m a Raiders fan.

The HATE is really more about the Raiders HATE to draft well, sign well, plan well and play well.
Hell, maybe I’m being generous with saying The Raiders will score 3 points. They might even be shut out by a team that is so much better than the raiders in every single phase of the game.

That said, it’s a division rival game, so the Raiders will do something stupid and actually win this game and drop down their rookie draft pick.

Ugh, either way.

Outside of that they are a good team.

My sympathies

The time in Denver between Peyton Manning and Bo nix was awful

Just lose, baby

McLaughlin & Badie again heavily involved along with Harvey on the first drive. Harvey did get get snaps from 1st & goal but Nix ran it in on 3rd & goal. Payton hates your fantasy team.

Kick the dang FG!!!

Heck they had a few seconds to run a quick sneak for a couple yards and kneel, call a TO
The Raiders would prefer to line up and waste another timeout, and then get their QB sacked trying for a Hail Mary when Denver is only rushing 4 against 5, and then leave a few seconds for the broncos to try a Hail Mary of their own (which I was rooting for them to get since I have Nix starting in 2 leagues). Fantasy >>>>>>> Raiders wins for me for a couple of decades now

Announcer asked: What does Kenny Pickett do best here?

1) Take a sack
2) Throw an INT
3) Throw a pass 8 yards over the receivers head, out of the back of the end zone
4) Delay of game
5) Fumble the snap

Grandpa Pete: "Let's dial up the ol' number three!"

35 passes so far for Nix for 195 yards
When I looked at the stat line I thought Nix might be close to the record for fewest yards with 30+ completions (212). Not even close! There are at least 8 QBs who threw for fewer yards than 212 with 30+ completions, with Kyler Murray's 173 from 30 in his third career game in 2019 "leading".

why did they kick a fg with a extra play?

Raiders +7.5
Number of people saying "zomg rigged" on account of this are so silly. If they had taken a knee, people on the Raiders or under would be saying the same thing. If they had thrown a hail mary it amounts to the exact same thing. Was five seconds on the clock, can often get the FG off in that time and still have time to onside kick. Absolutely standard play.

It was anything but a standard play especially since the clock runs out if the refs don't call a delay of game penalty for no reason.

Down 10 with 6 seconds on the clock and the ball falls out of the receivers hand not even being thrown away by the defender. No it was not completely justified. 99% of refs ignore the borderline call. This one felt the need to make it and set up for a clock expiring FG.

It had nothing to do with the ball. Brandon Jones basically sat on Lockett after the catch and held him down with both hands as he attempted to get up. Penalty 100% of the time

I absolutely HATE when defenders sit on players to burn the clock. I'm furious when it happens against my Broncos, so it's only fair when my team gets called for this. It's unsportmanlike conduct.

He did not "sit on the player". He pushed himself off of the player. This is not 100% called. It's mostly ignored unless it's egregious. It was not egregious and especially given the circumstances, it did not decide the outcome of the game. 99% of refs let the clock run out.

Pretty sure it was 4 seconds, would absolutely be the last play of the game.

1000%

I always laugh…er, am ticked off, by the SportsCenter “Bad Beat” segment ( I think that’s what it’s called) where they do exactly this kind of stuff: Oh man, that last second score totally ruins my Under bet. What about the 50% of the people who are elated by the last second Over win?

It only came to my attention as someone posted a video crying about it on X earlier. Was 4, game clock was reset to 5 after the flag

Oh. I'm sorry. Brandon Jones didn't "sit" on Lockett to prevent him from getting up. In his own words he "laid" on him

“Honestly, I knew what I was doing,’’ Jones said Wednesday at his locker. He caught the ball, I knew they were going to try and run up to the ball quick and spike it. So I tried to nonchalantly lay on him for a little – just a little bit.
