According to the local CBS affiliate in Denver and current Denver Broncos starting quarterback Jay Cutler, quarterback Jake Plummer is seriously considering retirement. "I think anybody close to Jake, who knows him on a personal level, if he came in one day and said 'I'm outta here'...it wouldn't be a big surprise," Cutler said. "But he's competitor. I know he loves the game and loves Sundays, so if he came back I wouldn't be surprised that way either."

True....although it honestly wouldn't surprise me a heck of a lot....unless Plummer was able to get a better chance at a starting gig in Houston or ??? Seriously though, how many of us would be just BEGGING for the chance to make over a million bucks a year to wear a baseball hat and hold a clipboard for a few years?

Pride is an expensive thing sometimes....but the (very) little I do know of Plummer is that him retiring for lack of "starting" opportunity wouldn't be the biggest surprise I've seen. Paging Cecil....is Cecil in the house?!
