Brooks Reed, LB (Hou) (1 Viewer)

Looking better and better in the preseason. I know he's playing against second team talent, but I wonder if last nights performance will get him some more 1st team snaps. Barwin hasn't impressed me much in the first two games.

Thinking about taking a flier and picking him off somebody's taxi squad for a 3rd & 4th in 2012 draft...3rd will most likely be a late 3rd but wanted to get some opinions first. Might be too much to give up. Thanks to those that responded!

What kind've value does he have in dynasty leagues?Appreciate the help/insight.
He has played well no doubt, but even as a Houston fan there are some concerns1) OLB in 3-4, this is most leagues not a high scoring position outside of the most elite guys. If your league values this postion i.e. high sack points then there looks to be something there long term2) Mario Williams- first year in the 3-4 and last year under contract. Good performance by Reed could help both mario and texans part ways but we need to see.3) Kubiak's future- If Houston does not do well, then there might be another system that does not suit him well. That said, I could see someone taking a low cost flayer, but he has lots of ifs surrounding him.

SI's Peter King is on board:

Tex Tweet2: Brooks Reed, Mario Williams working hard in 4-3 pass-rush drills. Reed a Clay Matthews lookalike ...
