The Browns announced 19 roster cuts Saturday as they trimmed the roster to the regular-season limit of 53.

Among the notables: The Browns terminated the contracts of WR Frisman Jackson, C Ross Tucker and CB Pete Hunter and waived RB Lee Suggs and LB Nick Speegle.

RB William Green was placed on injured-reserve, and LB Clifton Smith was waived-injured.

The Browns also waived NT Babatunde Oshinowo, a 2006 sixth-round pick, and their final three 2005 draft picks: Speegle, OG Andrew Hoffman and OT Jonathan Dunn.

As previously announced, C Alonzo Ephraim does not count on the roster while he serves a four-game NFL suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. CB Daven Holly is also suspended for one week for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

The Browns also waived WR Kendrick Mosley, FB Corey McIntyre, OL Dave Yovanovits, LB Justin Kurpeikis, TE John Owens, CB Therrian Fontenot, DE Darrell Campbell and three undrafted rookies, CB Jereme Perry, S Andrew Pace and QB Darrell Hackney.

Just release Mr. Green, please Romeo and Phil. These guys couldn't catch a sniff of talent if it reared its huge rearend in front of their face and spread wide. Mr. Green has all-world talent and could easily be a 1500 yard back on most teams. The Browns are just too poor to ever maximize any player's talent. Mr. Green, hang tough brother.

:lmao: this shtick never gets old.

Frisman should catch on somewhere. He has some raw talent.

I'm very surprised they cut Tucker, considering they need warm bodies who know how to snap the ball.

funny you should phrase it like that... you are incorrigable, george! :)

So Chaun Thompson makes it.

I thought perhaps he might have "impressed" the club with his poor tackling against the Bears. Hard guy to figure out. Seems to have the raw talent, but doesn't have the head for it at times.
