From the Footballguys News Blogger:

Cleveland Browns tight end was recently asked to comment about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's motorcycle accident, as well as if he plans to ride motorcycles again in the future. "It didn't seem real at first," Winslow said. "I remember after I got in my accident, he was also riding a motorcycle. It's an unfortunate thing. My prayers and thoughts are with (Roethlisberger). No, I won't (ride motorcycles again)."

In the same vein, I thought this was interesting as well:

Buccaneers | Pittman to give up motorcyclesFri, 16 Jun 2006 20:41:13 -0700Roy Cummings, writing for the Sporting News, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Michael Pittman has decided to give up riding his motorcycle. Pittman said he owes it to his team and teammates to be more responsible and that he'll take the hobby up again when his playing days are over.
Seems like maybe a few people have learned from Ben's mistake. And all it took was him bashing head first into a windshield.....(BTW - this is off KFFL)

He said it on NFL Total Access on NFL Network. It went something like this.NFL Network - "Will you ride a motorcylce again?"

KWII - "He said (referring to Ben) that he will wear a helmet if he rides again"

NFL Network - "WILL YOU RIDE AGAIN?"

KWII - "No, I Won't"

"It is better to learn late to have never learned"

I have been very impressed with this kids attitude/work ethic as of late. I realize that it is just reading camp fluff, but nevertheless he seems to be on the right track. Even though he screwed up royally in the past, he could have easily continued down the wrong path and just given up. He willingly restructured his contract, seemingly changed his approach, and seems to be determined to be his best. I will be rooting for him to succeed.
