Saturday's afternoon practice has a surprise participant: Braylon Edwards.
Edwards, dressed in shoulder pads and shorts like the rest of his teammates, emerged from the Browns' locker room and jogged onto the practice field just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
It's a sign that he's been activated from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and will begin his road back to action, at least on a limited basis.
Edwards suffered a torn ACL last Dec. 4 during the Browns' loss to the Jaguars. He had successful surgery in early January and has been rehabbing since; he wore a brace on his right knee when he took to the practice field Saturday.
