Get on board while you can FF Nerds. He will win you your league if you draft defensive players...if you don't Hawks D/STs going to win you your league next year. 15+ sacks...coming your way.
C'mon. He's a lock for 22+15+ sacks...coming your way.
I'd never seen him play a snap until they showed some highlights after the pick last night. Freeney was exactly who I thought of when I saw them. Dude absolutely explodes off the snap.People that haven't seen him play and going off of talking heads are in for a rude awakening. Bruce Irvin can play and is in the same area as Dwight Freeney with his ability to get to the QB. The NYJ, Ravens, 49ers were going to take Irvin if he was available.
Bruce Irvin 6'3 24540 time=4.5Short Shuttle=4.033 cone=6.70Broad Jump=10'3just for comparison vs all WR's that tested at the combine.Would've finished #2 in 3 cone drill at the combine(behind Junior Hemmingway), #3 in short shuttle(behind Hemminway and Eric Page) and 14th in 40 yard dash.I'd never seen him play a snap until they showed some highlights after the pick last night. OLB3-44-3 defensive endWhat position did he play at West Virginia? What defensive system did they run at West Virginia? What will he play for the Seahawks?
The "Leo". The same position Clay Mathews played at USC under Carroll. He will be rushing the passer 85% of the time, and dropping back in coverage 15%.What will he play for the Seahawks?
He will play Elephant End opposit Red Bryant who is the run stopping DE. He fits perfectly with what they need...a pass rusher. What position did he play at West Virginia? What defensive system did they run at West Virginia? What will he play for the Seahawks?
Sounds more like Aldon Smith to me.He’s a 240-lb outside ‘backer who’s a good pass rusher, but does NOTHING else well, nor does he show any willingness to. He doesn’t cover or play the run well, and refuses to play special teams. Oh, and he’s been arrested a couple of times and dropped out of High School back in the day.So, he’s basically a smaller Kam Wimbley with way bigger character issues.Good luck with that Seattle. OUCH!
Career?15+ sacks...coming your way.
I've seen him make plenty of other plays behind the LOS, hustle downfield to make plays, and has a good motor. His character issues all stem from before the age of 18(that i'm aware of)...cut him some slack...it's not like he broke alcoholic school rules multiple times(Michael Floyd). He’s a 240-lb outside ‘backer who’s a good pass rusher, but does NOTHING else well, nor does he show any willingness to. For a guy that hasn't even played 4-3 DE all that long, his moves to split inside double teams for a few sacks in that highlight reel were especially impressive. This isn't your average speed guy that can 'only' beat tackles outside for sacks.I'd never seen him play a snap until they showed some highlights after the pick last night. I like his Reggie White "hump" move...impressive for a guy that shouldn't be that strong. But he seems able to toss OT's off balance and duck inside to get to the QB.For a guy that hasn't even played 4-3 DE all that long, his moves to split inside double teams for a few sacks in that highlight reel were especially impressive. This isn't your average speed guy that can 'only' beat tackles outside for sacks.I'd never seen him play a snap until they showed some highlights after the pick last night. I heard that there were as many as seven teams that were considering him in the first.Per CBS Sports' Rob Rang, the 49ers, Jets, and Ravens all would have taken Bruce Irvin in the first round had he made it to their pick.
I never heard of Rob Rang. So I just looked him up online. Here's part of his bio :People that haven't seen him play and going off of talking heads are in for a rude awakening. I don't know if this guy is a legit draft expert or not, but I can tell you he has no idea who the Ravens were planning to take with their pick. None of the local beat writers know, so how does someone nobody from Seattle know? He's obviously getting spun by the Seahawks.Rob Rang always had a fascination for football. Perhaps because he grew up a Seattle Seahawks fan ... he's typically spending time with his family and friends in the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest
I know you are The_Man and all, and that of course anyone you have not heard of is a nobody. But I think Rang has more credibility than you assume here...I never heard of Rob Rang. So it could be true. Don't discount and BS us when we're reporting information. It's not like I made it up. Having Bruce Irvin opposite Suggs would be nasty.I never heard of Rob Rang. Little off. He was a DE, WVU ran a 3-3-5 stack. He never was coached on how to pass rush as it was not a priority in the 3-3-5 for whatever reason. He ran contain at WVU and still racked up sacks.OLB3-44-3 defensive endWhat position did he play at West Virginia? What defensive system did they run at West Virginia? What will he play for the Seahawks?
Lol noYou would say he was an overdrafted scrub if he wasn't a Seahawk. You see to ignore the faults of anybody who goes to Seattle.
