Bruce Jenner changing to? (1 Viewer)

It's being reported that there was no sign of paparazzi chasing him/her.

Even if there were it's no excuse for this kind of reckless behavior. It's a camera, not an RPG. It's something all celebrities deal with to some extent. Get your #### together and take some personal responsibility.

Isn't this how Princess Di died?
Kind of. She was being chased by paparazzi in Paris and the dopey driver decided to do about 120.

I saw one report that said the car 2 cars in front of Jenner had stopped. The woman in that car claims that she was stopped for a red light, but the accident scene indicates that she was 300 feet from the red light. So they think she may have stopped to make an illegal u-turn or slammed on her brakes for some other reason. If so, that could mitigate Bruce's culpability here.

On the other hand, they're also investigating the possibility that Bruce was texting when it happened. If he was texting when it happened, charge him with negligent homicide IMO.

Turns out Jenner was smoking, not texting. Even in Prius woman slowed to take an illegal U-Turn, California law always ascribes blame to the car that hits someone from behind. A driver is lawfully obligated to follow at a safe distance whereby they can stop safely if cars brake suddenly. Look, I know this is A'Murca, and I've had big SUVs in the past, but I question why we need monster trucks on the roads. Poor woman who died got crunched from behind by one giant oversized SUV and they whacked by a Hummer. Never had a chance.

Seems like a good argument to still have an SUV.

He was towing an off road vehicle.

Back to the change. OK - I get it if you feel trapped in your body - but why wait until your 65? I mean - what's the point at that age?

I think the point is being true to yourself. Maybe it took him this long because he's been struggling with it, especially with all the backlash associated with it and being a celeb. It's not like he's 80 and possibly has a foot in the grave.

Not sure I undersatnd how you get married, assuming falling in love with a woman, father two children all the while thinking you'd rather have ####.

Because majority of society says that's how it should be so you try to abide by the "laws" of human nature until you can no more? And you are confused? There was a good documentary on awhile back on transsexuals going forth with the change.

Did anyone see the doc on CNN with the navy seals guy (now a gal?)..

I'm glad he quit listening to society and became a woman.
I could care less personally, but if that's what makes one lead a happier healthier life, then go for it.

I'm so confused, in this accident he was hauling an ATV. So he's a woman, but a Lesbian?

I think the point is being true to yourself.
What does this even mean? So after 60+ years he is going to go through surgery to alter his body and take hormones he can't naturally produce and THAT'S considered being "true to yourself"?

I'm gonna call BS. There are deep psychological issues at play and it has nothing to do with being "true" to anything. Confusion, disillusionment, self loathing, etc are about a million times more likely than he has just been holding it in all this time.

Why did you quote "laws" of human nature? Until the last 40 years they were just that. You were stuck with the plumbing you were born with. You don't find it odd that suddenly after all the years of humanity people suddenly now just HAVE to have sex change operations?

It is a result of our society's advancement to the point where survival is no longer an issue so now we just think ourselves to death. When life was about providing shelter and finding food, less time to ponder whether I'm really a man or not. Nowadays, we have time not only to think it, but debate it endlessly online with people around the world.

This stuff is psychological at its core and has likely a great deal more to do with environment than physiology.

In today's society we're told we must celebrate Jenner's brave delusional all the way until he mutilates his body. It's crazy really. Instead of getting treatment and therapy for the obvious mental delusion, people actively encourage the behavior.

Don't transgender people have to go through life as the opposite gender for a long time and go through a bunch of psychological profiles before they get the surgery, just to make sure it's NOT those things? I might be talking out of my ###, but I thought it was a crazy long drawn-out process.

I know they have to live as the opposite gender for a year before surgery. No idea on the psych eval.

It's probably like adopting kids. If you are a "celeb" or rich like Rosie O'Donnellor Perez Hilton you can adopt kids no questions asked. If you are an average Joe you have to jump through all kinds of hoops.

If you are rich or a celeb, Wang chopped off no question asked.

I think its more fascinating that so many middle-age men are so concerned about what Jenner is doing. Who gives a ####?

I'm not sure exactly what the process is or how long it takes but if it ends with a doctor agreeing to preform a addadicktome or a chopadichtomy I still think it's pretty ####ed up.

:lmao:

The timing of his sex change operation could be unfortunate if he/she gets jail time for killing the neighbor.

Would it be possible for Jenner to go to jail or prison for vehicular manslaughter?
There is a possibility of up to 6 years in prison, but you know that's not happening. The sex change angle will be interesting though if he is taking some sort of drugs that state he should not be operating a vehicle while taking them. Kris Jenner better start hiding the money or the kids better start making some new videos.

I have a college buddy who used to be Alex...now she's Laura. There's nothing about the drugs they prescribe for transitioning from a male to a female that prevents you from driving, operating heavy machinery, or even drinking. It's all pretty much just heavy doses of hormones.

Which begs the question, why change your name if it's already gender neutral?

To distance herself from her life as Alex. It's part mental, since for a lot of transgender people they went through a lot of pain and emotional hardship before coming to terms with themselves and pursuing the transition. Gender neutral or not, her male name is a reminder of that. It's part symbolic as well. But a big part of it is also practical. It's way too easy to google someone nowadays and that's not exactly how she wants anyone she ever meets to find out she's trans. Could have went with a last name change but she doesn't want to lose that connection to her family.
