Just saw that Johnson has missed the last 2 days of practice, but I haven't seen him listed on any injury reports. Any homers have any insight?

There is somebody on here that will probably pop up by Saturday. Watch Matt Maioco but Martz having said he's not worried about it but then saying that he is comfortable with Morgan playing in his place says something. I would say 50/50 for Johnson and if he doesnt practice tomorow down to 30/70.

He's got a dream matchup this week. San Francisco figures to be in catch-up mode for most of the day.

I'll probably just roll the dice with Lance Moore in the same game.

thanks for this thread - i was *JUST* ready to cut loose bryant johnson for antonio bryant and johnson being out for 2 days this week might help make my decision for me.

So did he practice today?
these guys had limitted participation in practice friday for the 49ersFriday S Dashon Goldson (shoulder), WR Bryant Johnson (hamstring), S Keith Lewis (knee), S Michael Lewis (elbow), CB Donald Strickland (knee

From cbssportsline:

News: 49ers WR Bryant Johnson finally practiced Friday after missing the previous two days with a sore hamstring. However, he is being listed as questionable for Week 4 against the Saints. "It's undecided," head coach Mike Nolan told NFL.com as to Johnson's playing status for Sunday. "He practiced (Friday) and did a good job. (Saturday) will be the biggest tell. If he wakes up sore, then maybe not."

Analysis: Johnson is coming off a disappointing one-catch game against the Lions, but is looking to rebound Week 4 against a weak Saints secondary. He has 10 catches for 151 yards and one touchdown, and has become a good deep threat for San Francisco. If Johnson is active, start him as a No. 2 Fantasy WR. Continue to track his progress up until inactives.

The SF Chronicle reports that Johnson practiced and is "questionable" for Sunday. Looks like it may be the old gametime decision. Injury Update at bottom of post

The link to Mike Martz posted earlier doesn't sound like he's sold on the fact that Johnson will be ready to go:

"I haven't even thought about it. I'm sure Johnson will be ready to go," 49ers offensive coordinator Mike Martz said. "I feel good about either one of them."

------------------

Sounds like he's at least prepared to have Josh Morgan in there instead of Johnson.

Did the word sure throw ya here?Granted I wouldn't take it as fact. Martz isn't the coach and he isn't the trainer or doc clearing Johnson to play. A Gametime decision is a gametime decision. We'll still have to get an update near gametime.

All I did was point out his opinion vs what the article said, and I simply was unsure...I wasn't condemning the person at all, and I have him in several leagues, Morgan too and would love to know who is starting tomorrow. What did you read into my post?

no worries. I thought you were anticipating my reaction so I guess we both misunderstood each other. As far as shooting the messenger, this thread has died. No new info since his post. It's just not good for around here and I can't stand when people do it. ANY links to news or articles should not be frowned upon, they should be encouraged....eh well I know ya feel that way too so, again why I thought you were posting that smiley.

Really. You think he would come out and say. I think Johnson is good to go, but if he is not we sure are screwed, because that Morgan guy sucks.

Morgan sucks? He had a bad staff infection and lost 20lbs but he hardly sucks my man! You in wcoff or nffc?
