Bryce Brown Dog fighting? (1 Viewer)

I don't really see anything in this claiming he did anything wrong.

He sent the dog there for it to be bred with. He sent the puppies there to be weened. Who fights month old puppies?

What am I missing?

I am sure there will be more to this story, I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone, but wouldn't be shocked if he gets some sort of heat for this.

Until you find out Bryce's dogs are Toy Poodles, or Miniature Dachshunds.

This would be similar to charging parents when a daycare gets busted for drug trafficking.

A pit bull and her seven puppies belonging to Eagles RB Bryce Brown were among the animals seized in a suspected dog fighting operation in Wisconsin.
The seizure took place on May 21 at Northland Pits in Fall Creek, Wisconsin. During a Friday hearing, Bekah Weitz, the humane officer for the Eau Claire County Humane Association, said one of her concerns regarding the animals was they were being trained for fighting. When the dogs were seized, she saw scarring on seven animals. We'll have more on this story as further details emerge.

Seized pit bulls returned to Eagles RB Bryce Brown

A pit bull belonging to Eagles running back Bryce Brown -- along with the dog's seven puppies -- are being returned to Brown after they were seized in May from an alleged illegal dog-breeding operation in Fall Creek, Wis., that was also suspected of fighting the dogs.

Joseph Sudbrink, who runs Northland Pits, was arrested Friday on preliminary charges of mistreating animals and operating as a dog breeder without a license, the district attorney's office told the Leader-Telegram. Brown doesn't have ties to the alleged operation.

More from the Telegram: "In a petition he filed May 28 seeking the return of the dogs, Sudbrink said he thinks the animals were removed because Bekah Weitz, the humane officer for the Eau Claire County Humane Association, believed they were fighting dogs."

Brown purchased the pit bull, Ellis, in 2010 and sent her to Northland Pits for stud services in February, according to the Leader-Telegram. After a week, she was returned to Brown in Wichita, Kan. Ellis returned to Northland Pits shortly before the birth of her puppies, where Sudbrick offered to whelp and wean them for Brown. Ellis and the puppies were seized along with 19 other dogs when a search warrant was executed on May 21.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Brown and his wife can be regularly seen walking their two dogs in their Naval Square neighborhood in Philadelphia.

Thanks Faust....based on the above, looks like Brown has no ties and nothing to worry about.

He's really creeping up the dumbest NFL player draft boards.
Just like this post, why dont you get all the info before you cast judgement.

Rumor has it the only thing he did wrong was pick the wrong kennel, you know sometimes, people get in trouble for doing nothing wrong.

Was that a top rated Kennel or something? Seems like a long way to go for a breeder. But I know nothing about breeding dogs.

Phenix will bust your butt every time you come to conclusions too early. Glad to see BB is alright, about 2 secs in I thought uh-oh (esp being in the same backfield as Vick). Then I read the article

Glad you read the article. Thats the problem with this story, people do not read the articles.... and yes, I am a big proponent of innocent until proven guilty. I always think its funny when people get on their soapbox about laws and rights, and in doing so they break one of the great rights we have. Innocent until PROVEN Guilty.

As far as the pitbull comment above. More proof of people reacting to media and how ignorance is a problem. I own a Pit and have a 15 month old baby, whats funny is my dog doesnt try to hurt her or rip her face off, he tries to love her and protect her. But wait its a pit, I should automatically assume the worst and show my ignorance and say he is trying to hurt her right? Not for any reason, but she is a pit. Right?

People who are ignorant are whats wrong with this world, it is the start of every problem, not pitbulls.

Just in case you didn't actually read the story referenced, the smoke is in Wisconsin. Bryce Brown lives in Kansas and works in Pennsylvania. HTH. He was not being questioned, arrested, suspected, etc. So there is smoke - just nowhere near Bryce Brown.

This has someone just being a ##### all over it, and it has to do with the Kennel not Brown. They could of just thought the pups would of been used for fighting and thats all it takes for the police to get involved. Even if he has not done one little thing to be suspected of. My guess, is that someone at the Kennel was being an idiot, as they were returned. So obviously Brown did not do one little thing wrong. Anyone who says so is just not smart enough to read the article.

Again, since someone accused him he must have did it. If I woke up today after being asleep for 10 years, I would think that is the norm is guilty until proven innocent in this world, and not innocent until proven Guilty.... wait it is.

To me people who have such views are no different in breaking human and civil rights then others who discriminate.

Looks VICIOUS!!!

Bryce is probably good to go, but a quick internet search of that kennel and you'll see its no where near top of the line. Maybe they had a great breeding match for his dog, but all the uppity pit bull owners avoid that place. In the pit bull community it is known to be a "turd"
