So, I just read a blurb about Scott being the likely starting SS in Buffalo, and was wondering if anybody following that scene could fill me in on the whole Buffalo safety saga of Simpson and Whitner the last couple years.

Seems like Scott produced pretty decent #'s when he was on the field, but is a safety in Buffalo really the position you'd want?

Although, maybe the changes on offense would help him.

the long-term plan is clearly to have Whitner at SS and Byrd at FS. But, Byrd is a rookie CB making the switch to safety so it might take him some time. Ko Simpson seems to be out of favor so if Byrd isn't ready they would likely continue to use Scott at SS and Whitner at FS. I'm not sure any of these guys are too exciting from a fantasy perspective, but Scott especially seems like little more than a veteran who is keeping the seat warm for a young guy.

I remember Scott playing last year, but everything Ive read this year has stated that Whitner will be the SS, with Simpson at FS. I personally dont think Simpson will be around much longer, but I think itll be that way this year with Scott playing reserve to Whitner. Just a guess though...
