Buffalo at LA Chargers (1 Viewer)

Dareus trade looking like win win. Bills clear their books, get something for an asset and Jags run defense improves
Ya, the Bills clear their books in two years and get five cents on the dollar while also decapitating their run defense.  Win-win.

I still like the move. The defence is bad. The oline is bad. 8-8 was best case scenario for the season

In my mind the ONLY chance was to try the rookie.

Now there is no need to wonder about the draft. Use all the capital you have, draft a QB high.

Relatively speaking, how many of us could make as bad a mistake/decision as the Bills staff this week and not be having to answer for it.

I want to coach in the NFL.. For any coach to keep a QB in after throwing 3,never mind 4 and then 5 ints doesn't know what he's doing....He's humiliating Peterman to begin with.

I understand the logic behind the move, but it definitely wasn't the ONLY move.

And they didn't have to be in this situation to begin with if they hadn't already shipped out all of the talent.

QBs throwing picks isn't comparable to the NHL and goalies giving up a bunch of goals early...

If he can't deal with a little "humiliation" he isn't cut out to be an NFL QB. Gotta find out who he is...

Code:
So far it looks like he's a schmoe from the local bar, thrust into an NFL game.

It will be interesting to see the second half. If the Bills trot Peterman back out there and Shady basically sits out, what kind of message does this send the other 50+ players?

You'd think the Bills would consider acknowledging Keenan Allen out there.

He has too much integrity to do so, but if they tell Tyrod to go back in and he tell them no, I'd love it.

If someone had told me the Chargers would be up 40-7, Peterman would be having a horrific game, and Joey Bosa would not have found his way onto the stat sheet, I'm not sure I would have believed it...

How does a coach bench Tyrod for this guy and keep his job? How could you trust his talent evaluation after that?

The Chargers should pull as many starters as possible for the rest of the game. Definitely including Rivers and Gordon. It would be such a Chargers-like thing to leave them in there only to get hurt.

I know the only thing that matters at this point is nobody else getting hurt, but I don't understand the pass interference call on Charles Clay. If the defender can jam the receiver within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage, why can't the receiver push the defender within 5 yards of the LOS if the ball hasn't been thrown yet?

Every week it's hard to figure out if Buffalo is even playing with linebackers. They make zero plays and never even seem to be anywhere near the ball. Absolutely perplexing why Matt Milano can't get on the field.

I'm rapidly souring on McDermott. Talking about "the process" and "doing things the right way" goes two ways. Of coaches and the front office aren't going to put the best players possible on the field and design schemes to put the team in the best position to win, then coaches and front office need to go too. And right now, the entire team is playing like trash. The O-line is a joke, the offensive playcalling makes no sense, the defense can't even come close to pressuring the QB, the linebackers are washed out against the run and too slow to cover, and the secondary is paper thin.

I have no reason to hate the Bills, and I certainly wasn’t hoping for Peterman’s young career to be such a flop, but after seeing that organization treat Tyrod like #### it’s kinda gratifying to see it culminate in such a debacle like this.

I can't recall the last time the Bills got blown out three games in a row.  I'm sure it's happened, but I don't remember it.
There's a SB 26-27-28 response here that I'm just too sad to make.
I heard a stat that the Bills had been 5-4 nine times since the Flutie years and only once won to get to 6-4.
That's a fair number of times to be teasing your fans to just fall flat.
Watched last week with my dad and I wanted it to be a nice memory and we were both "same ol' Bills" after about 10 minutes.

In the past 16 games (including today) when the Bills have at least 5 wins and are above .500, they are 0-16.

:goodposting:

Totally do not get the thought process behind benching Tyrod for Peterman. Thought this before the game, and then was shocked to see the coaching staff leave him in for the entire first half given the turnovers.
