Aaron, i know this isn't the place to ask this but, are they are going to put in Orton? If so, will mushin get more looks or should i try to dump him?

DT Tommie Harris out of the game with a shoulder problem.Bears defense looks awesome so far. Ogunleye is creating a ton of pressure, and Nathan Vasher has done a great job in run support. Urlacher also looks like he will be back in elite form this year.

Dude you are way too worried about this...trade him for god sakes. :lmao:

Bills call a timeout with a chance to get the ball back now.3rd and 29: Jones run up the middle for 16 yards.1 minute left in the 1st half and the Bills use their final timeout.

McGahee = overrated
agreed. not changing my opinion because of tonights performance but because I think the Buff offense is really gonna struggle the 1st half of the season. Losman may be good long term but teams are gonna throw everything at this guy in the first half of the year and he plays some good defenses with Miami, NE, and Jets just in their div.

4th and 12: Bears 46-yard punt. 5-yard return by Clements.

Bills 1st and 10 (:50 remaining): shotgun with 4-WR formation. short 3-yard pass to Evans on the right who runs out of bounds and stops the clock.

2nd and 7 (:45 remaining): Shotgun. FLAG: False start by Mike Williams.

2nd and 12: Shotgun. 4 WR. Draw to McGahee, up middle for about 10 yards, stopped by Urlacher.

3rd and 2: Losman rolls left and completes short pass to Moulds, who runs out of bounds after getting the 1st down.

1st and 10 (:16 remaining): Shotgun. 4 WR. Huge pass play to Jonathan Smith down the middle. Bills try to spike the ball to stop the clock but time expires.

This thread is awesome and hilarious. Its gonna be alot of fun watching the Bears defense this year. And with their offense, I'll get much time to watch the other (AFC) game on.

I think Orton will play in the 3rd quarter.I think Muhammad will be fine. They appear to be trying to get more playing time for the young WRs right now to get them ready for the season.Don't forget that the Bills have one of the elite defenses in the league. No shame in struggling against them when you don't even gameplan since it's preseason.

nice 36-yard kickoff return by McGee takes the Bills to their own 46 yard line

1st and 10: play fake to McGahee, incomplete pass over the middle to Moulds who was well covered

2nd and 10: run by McGahee for no gain

McGahee has 9 rushing attempts for 5 yards. 1st quarter over.
You've seen McGahee more than I this preseason. Why is he struggling? He doesn't seem like a top 10 pick yet does he?
William Green has scored a TD every week of the preseason, I bet he doesn't score 16 TDS in the regular season, whacha think? It's preseason people, whatever it takes to bash the man Willis I guess you guys will grasp desperatly at. Come the real season prepare to eat alot of crow.

I agree that McGahee hasn't done too much this preseason. I don't think anyone should overreact and drop him out of their top-10, but there is defenitely reason for some concern with regard to the blocking he's going to get.In his favor, I still see the team feeding him the ball as much as possible as long as he stays healthy, and I think once he gets warmed up in some real games he will start to take over. The Bills are still getting great play from their defense and special teams like they had last year, and I think the offense will again be given plenty of short fields to work with. That will wind up translating into another high TD total for McGahee this year, and that is where most of his fantasy value comes from, IMO.

Losman hasn't done much in the 1st half, but he hasn't hurt the team too much either. When he has thrown the ball, he has generally been decisive and accurate.T.Jones: 10 rushes for 80 yards in the 1st half. Guy continues to be vastly underrated.Orton starting 2nd half for the Bears.

Is it more that the chicago defense is playing well? or is it that the o-line is not holding up? i understand it's only pre season, but 18 carries for 39 yds is just unacceptable..

Bills 1st team defense still out there for 2nd half.Bears 1st and 10: 2-yard run by Jones to the right.2nd and 8: Orton floats up a ball to Muhammad who is covered well and almost makes the catch, but McGee bats it away.3rd and 8: Zone blitz from Bills and Orton makes a safe play and throws it in the dirt.4th and 8: 47-yard punt. Tackle made by RB Adrian Peterson on short return. FLAG: Ineligible man downfield by kicking team (Joe Odom).4th and 13: Punt. Short return by Smith.

I'm sure it is a little bit of both, but the Bears have the best run defense of any team in the NFL so far this preseason. They are only allowing an average of about 50 yards/game.

Bills 1st and 10: Nice 7-yard run by McGahee. Tackled by SS Todd Johnson.

2nd and 3: McGahee great 17-yard run on a sweep to the left. Very good blocking and the Bears safety tripped him up to prevent what could have easily been a long TD run down the sideline.

1st and 10: Play-fake to McGahee left. Losman rolls right and completes 12-yard pass to Moulds.

1st and 10: 1 WR formation. Losman has tons of time. Nobody open so he scrambles right and runs for a 2-yard gain.

2nd and 8: Run by McGahee to the left, but is immediately swarmed by Bears and tackled for a 1-yard loss.

3rd and 9 from Bears 26: 4WR, shotgun formation. Safety blitz by Bears. Losman scrambles to the right and overthrows George Wilson in the end zone.

44yd FG attempt by Lindell: GOOD!

You would know better than me since you follow the team so closely but have heard that their Oline is weak. So I think that will hurt in pass protection and run blocking. I think teams will the blitz the heck of out Losman early in the season. No one is gonna throw anything at him in the preseason but once the bullets start flying playing the Jets, Pats, and Miami just in their own division he will have a tough time. Agreed that the Bills def/st is top notch but I think the offense will be worse this year.

I agree that the Bills Offense will struggle early, but I think McGahee will be good. Just hope he can get some easy 1,2,3 yard TDS and not have to bust 50 yarders in order to score.

Bills kickoff to the 15. Berrian returns to the 33. FLAG: Holding on Bears.Bears 1st and 10: Thomas Jones runs left, avoids diving tackle attempt behind the line of scrimmage and gets pushed out of bounds for 5-yard gain.2nd and 5: Orton throws 4-yard pass to Gage on the right.3rd and 1: FLAG: False start by Fred Miller.3rd and 6: Bills blitz. Bears pick up the blitz well and Orton makes great pass to Gage over the middle for 18-yards.1st and 10: Play-fake to Jones. Thrown to Muhammad who was wide open near the sideline, but the ball was trapped and ruled incomplete. Bears are challenging the play.

I actually think the offense is better off with losman as qb. yeah he's a rookie still learning, but i'm sorry you can't get any worse than bledsoe last year. And what's really interesting is that buffalo went 10-6 with a horrible qb, who's to say that can't happen again this year, with a lights out d??

Agree that he will get td's. I think he gets about 10 or so, don't think the 13 he got last year is a floor like most people. A LOT of things broke right for him last year and that coupled with the fact I think they will have a real tough 1st half I just don't think he will get as many opportunities. I think he will have a Travis Henry type year 1300 yards 10-12 td's.

while the Bills OL is less then stellar, most of thier short comings are in pass blocking. If there is anything that they can do adequately it is run block. they (commentators Tasker/Levy) mentioned that the Bears have averaged giving up 50 yards per game rushing (1st in league) during the preseason. the Bills have given up 50.5 ypg rushing (2nd). I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that neither team can move the ball.

My thoughts:#1 EVERYBODY blitzed Bledsoe like crazy the past 2 years, so this won't be anything new. The difference is that Losman is mobile and can slow the pass rushers down as they have to worry about him breaking contain while Bledsoe was always going to be sitting right in the pocket.

#2 The line has some issues, specifically at Left Tackle after losing Jonas Jennings to the 49ers. But, they upgraded at Left Guard by signing Bennie Anderson from the Ravens. The right side of the line can be dominant at times. And OL coach Jim McNally is widely regarded as one of the top-5 in his profession. He got the line to play great last year after a slow start and I expect more of the same.

#3 Teams will continue to stack the line against McGahee, as they have done against Henry and him in the past and force Losman to beat them with his arm. With Moulds and Evans on the outside and his strong arm and mobility, I think he'll be able to make enough big plays to keep defenses honest.

I agree that the Bears def is solid (and underrated by the way).

Kyle Orton just drove the Bears right down the field, and threw a short TD pass to TE Desmond Clark.
