We don't have a BWW around here. Is the food any good? How does it compare to say something like Hooters?

Hooters wings are an abomination.BW3 wings are usually pretty solid.

Agree on Hooters, but I think BWW is pretty overrated too. The sauces are fairly good, but they are stingy with their sauce on the wings, and the wings are often times pretty dry. Everywhere I've lived since high school I've found a local, non chain, wing place to get my wings because most other wing places are better IMO.

I've always found BW3 wings disappointing. They are too small and oftentimes dry. Can't say I've found them to be lacking in the sauce department, though. And I had no idea they were founded in my hometown of Columbus. Interesting (to me at least.)

I gotta disagree here. I hit my local BWW with my pop every friday for some Wings and beers. Good bonding time. They used to have small wings but over the last few months they've gotten some pretty damn good sized wings. I always get Hot, with an extra side of Hot sauce to roll em in. They vary from dripping with sauce ot just barely wet with sauce. The Extra covers me in the event they're a bit dry that day. Overall the wing quality is quite good though (B- to B) and the Sauce is REALLY good (A- to A)

Preparation

I like taking my sons there. I can watch sports, they can play video games, I can enjoy 2 beers per hour, they can enjoy bottomless rootbeers. The food has never been anything more than ho-hum, but it's nice to have a sports bar I can take my kids to and not feel like a degenerate.

Very good point. Too large and they're chewy. Too small and you've got to eat 50 of the damn things to fill up.

I agree..the food is ho-hum at best!Some draft beers and basically chicken McNuggets for a table of 4 and the tab is 60 dollars. Very high profit margin.

No.

Hurricane is better IMO though not anything special. I rarely get wings at chains. Though Ny number of local bars do far better.
