Buffalo WR's (1 Viewer)

It appears that Buffalo is going to be throwing alot this season, so there could be some fantasy value there, aside from Stevie Johnson.

Who do you like better this season, Donald Jones or David Nelson?

Personally, I think Fitz has been developing a nice rapport with Nelson going back to the end of last season.

Nelson was targeted a team high 6 times last week (tied with S. Johnson) and brought in 4 of those. If I had to guess, I would say continued high production out of Nelson's targets should solidify his value to Fitz and our fantasy value.

Jones did have 5 targets, as well... though he obviously didn't do as much with them as Nelson did. Seems they'll be spreading the ball around in Buffalo.

25 more snaps for Jones in Week 1.

2 Red Zone targets for Jones compared to zero for Nelson.

This is a wait and see......very similar to Roberts and Doucet in Arizona. My money is on Jones.

I am very interested in this one as well, and I wonder when the jumping on point could be. Much like last year when I waited and waited and waited as Stevie put up good week after good week. But I am really interested in D Nelsons speed in this offense, I thought he was slow, does he have great ball skills or something? Wish I saw this game.

Nelson is 6'5", has a 38" vertical and runs a 4.55 40 (Johnson runs a 4.57 40). He has very good hands and the coaches praise his route running. He almost exclusively plays out of the slot.

I don't think that any of the WRs outside of Johnson will have consistent enough production to be valuable. The Bills will run a ton of 3 and 4 WR sets and each week's matchups will determine who has the stats that week.

Nelson had a pretty nice statline today...Fitzpatrick looks to be throwing a lot this season. I smell a top pickup with Nelson this week.

so glad nelson was touted this past week on these boards. was able to scoop him up on sat! nice matchup vs new eng next week

Nelson all the way. Fitz loves him. He has great size and a soft set of hands

10 catches today including the game winner. He knows how to use his size to get open and Fitz likes him a lot

I listened to the majority in this thread and picked up Nelson a few minutes before kickoff to start him over Holmes. This thread and a couple of others about the Buffalo WRs are so valuable because it was too easy to overlook value in the #2 WR in Buffalo and then difficult to know who to pick up, Nelson or Jones.
