where? I wish I knew!! Can he even do that...refuse to come back in after getting benched. That has to be one the highest paid clipboard holders of all-time!!!!!!

He said he doesn't want to play for Linehan anymore. Message: He goes or I go.That isn't the same as "refusing to go in." If Green gets hurt, I'm 100% confident Bulger would be a professional and do his best.

He'll be the starting qb for the rams after the bye week, sans linehan. THere is no way their demise is squarely on the shoulders of Bulger, nor is Trent Green even remotely bringing something above and beyond Bulger to the table. And the rest of his team seems to be galvanized behind him and against the coach. its ugly, but there is a simple solution. Get rid of the coach, get bulger back in and move on, as crappy a season as you are likely to have...

This is stupid. Almost as stupid as the "The Rams May Release or Trade Holt" thread.

It's quite obvious Bulger doesn't want to play for his coach. Linehan will be gone after this week and all this stupid speculation will be put to rest. The Rams will go on with Bulger and Holt on the team and they will find a new coach. It's quite clear none of the players like this guy, he does not get along with Holt and he is putting the blame for the Rams season on Bulger... why else would he switch QBs? QB is not the problem. It's the OL and, well, the coach is just awful.

Come Monday all this talk will be history.

Yes, once Linehan is fired.

Exactly my point, read the bold...

LAs others have already said, Linehan will get whacked Monday or Tuesday and Saunders will take over in the interim.

Linehan's behavior lately is begging to be dismissed, either that or the guy has just plain lost it.

LOL...Speed reading I blew over that. Yeah, good posting.

Let's see, yelling match on the sideline last year where Holt can be seen saying, "this is all your fault," SJax criticizing the coach on the radio a couple days ago in another market, Bulger dropping this ultimatum, ridiculously hard schedule = :bye: Linehan

Here is one Rams fan hoping that they can talk Vermiel into taking over as an interim coach and help find a coach for next year. He wouldn't take it as anything beyond this year but as an interim coach I think it would be a huge step in turning the franchise around in a quicker amount of time than if Saunders took over...

Bulger is unlikely to go to another team. trades during the season are rare. especially with Green one good hit away from calling it a career and Brock Berlin after that.

Did anyone else see his comments on ESPN yesterday about needing to talk to Jackson, and that he had no comment? He is sitting at a desk and in the background on the right side was a large stack of cardboard boxes. Do you suppose he is already packing?

Bulger is untradeable. He just signed the new deal last year. I don't know what his signing bonus was (don't feel like looking it up), but the cap hit from accelerating it to this year would probably be impossible to absorb. He's not going anywhere

I hope this poster got banned for name calling.
You're that guy who always told the teacher every time something was up, aren't you. Anywho, to anyone interested, just read an article saying this was a one week shot for Green..then back to Bulger for rest of year!? Thinking about picking him up...as he is available in my (start two quarterback) league??

Bulger, SJax, and Holt will be Rams after Linehan is (likely) fired Monday.

All is well! [/KevinBaconInAnimalHouse]

It'll be an awkward situation if the Rams win this week.
Let's say they do win. Then all of a sudden you have a QB controversy. How do you go back to Bulger? Linehan is vindicated. I don't know. I think the team quit on him and it should show on Sunday.

I dont think the bills so much as the team itself will make it a MOOT point. It's been made public that linehan is fired if they lose this weekend. Team wants him gone. They aren't contending for anything at the moment. Lay down and take one for the team, get the coach fired. Sounds like something pros wouldn't do right?!? You'd think so. Unless Green can singlehandedly beat the bills, they will get trounced. The equivalent of a lack of confidence for the coach. BuhBye. Back comes Bulger in, and they turn into a decent FF team moving forward, albeit a terrible NFL team for the rest of the year...

If you got Buffalo's defense start em. If they are on the waiver wire, pick em up! I have a feeling this is going to be a statement game by the team. The statement being, Bulger is our leader not Linehan!!! Trent Green??? Are you serious? This guy is one concussion away from his grape exploding! Bulger will come in in the second quarter and proceed to throw 6-7 picks and turn to the coach like the coach's son did in The Bad News Bears when he wouldn't throw the ball to first base. Should be some good television.

Rams | Holt apologizes for Bulger benching

Sat, 27 Sep 2008 06:46:19 -0700

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams WR Torry Holt felt bad for the benching of QB Marc Bulger. Holt said he went up to Bulger and apologized for the offense's performance thus far. "You know I was shocked, man," Holt said. "I was really shocked. First and foremost, I went up to Marc immediately and apologized to him as a receiver. And (apologized) for our receiving group, and for our offense - for not making enough plays to give him an opportunity to stay on the football field with us as we move forward in the fourth week."

Rams | Linehan says he hasn't heard from Bulger

Sat, 27 Sep 2008 06:40:07 -0700

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan said Friday, Sept. 26, that if QB Marc Bulger has decided he no longer can play for him, Bulger has not informed the head coach as of yet. "He's never given me any (such) indication," Linehan told reporters. "I know he's disappointed with my decision. He's practiced very well this week, and worked hard, and all those things. If that's his feeling, he's never mentioned that to me. You have to ask him that particular question."

Linehan might be a terrible coach, but the front office hasn't exactly helped with their awful FA moves and drafts.

Just take a look at the TE position....they draft one in the 2nd, one in the 3rd, then spend a huge wad of cash to sign a FA next season....for some reason these momos won't build an OL and prefer to waste high 2nd rd picks on TEs, FBs, etc.

Is there a least talented team in the NFL than the Rams? Did Linehan have a fair shot being crippled by the FO?
