Always liked the guy growing up. He used to have some great appearances on the Tonight Show. Made some fun movies, got lots of babes. Sorry to see him so messed up in his later years.

Lots of bad cowboy related stuff with a few decent things thrown in if you look hard enough.

ETA: still going through it, lot of guns and awards also. Kinda like walking through someone's home ...weird.

So the "provenance" Noles hard hat with his name on it is worth just as much as a Bobby Orr signed jersey? That's just stupid. Everyone knows the hat is cooler.

 
He has always seemed a likable guy. He has a quick wit, and a lot of charm, but you have to shake your head at the direction he chose to take his career. After "Deliverance" and "The Longest Yard" he was the #1 guy. He had so much momentum, and could have used it to do great things, but instead spent the next ten years making fluff.

The 70's were such a great era for films. Maybe the best decade ever. It's too bad he didn't take advantage of it, and sad that he isn't ranked up there with some of his other great contemporaries: Redford, Beatty, Nicholson, Pacino, Hoffman.

 
Looks like a Warhol on his wall in one pic. I wonder if he sold that already or is holding on to it.

A lot of guns, a lot of junk, some second rate wardrobe, but the biggest thing is his boogie nights golden globe which is at once both his biggest career honor and a marker of failure as if was supposed to lead to an oscar but he did not get it in a pretty major upset

 
Anyone add up what he stands to make? Just read an article and he doesn't seem to be in good health. At 78, he probably needs enough to make it 10 years tops. Bank owns most of his house it appears, but it is worth north of $4m.

 
Any FBGer who even thinks about bidding on those pink cowboy boots will find themselves in a world of hate. They be going home with Kentric.

 
Some of those paintings, jeez you'd have to be a huge fan of his. They remind me of the crap they sell at those $19 framed print sales at your local Radisson. Seems odd to put stuff like that along side his truly valuable memorabilia. Makes it appear he's completely destitute and needs every nickel he can raise.

 
Saw on eBay After the fact, the original captain chaos AND captain USA masks and cape sold for like 250 bucks. I'm not a memorbillia guy but I'd drop 500 on that stuff

 
I'd like to get the Rocky Marciano auto'ed picture to Burt. I will probably bid on it once I figure out how to register.
