Lawrie- I was on the hype train but tremendously pedestrian based on the stats. Haven't seen much of him yet but Toronto has been playing crap teams and he's very mortal

Pujols- nuff said. Terrible ballpark for him that you figured he'd outhit. He's not done, but boy oh boy, he may REALLY not be what he was.

Matt Moore- Very slight guy that you have to wonder about for the full season. Not terrible but not a top tier guy many thought he might be. He'll be an inconsistent rookie.

Paul Goldschmidt- fighting off competition from Overbay and looks overmatched and overwhelmed. Hard to see him avoiding AAA right now

Of these guys, I only expect Lawrie to approach his projected ceiling as he's been better of late, but certainly more mortal than his great run last season.

Neil Walker and Danny Espinosa are killing me. Espinosa is very streaky I think so I'm pretty sure he'll be ok and have a couple of nice streaks, Walker I'm not so sure about.

ETA: I would ##### about pitchers but since I don't understand them, I won't. Let's just say I'm not a big fan of Yovani Gallardo right now though.

White flag's up on Bourjos, Marmol, and Goldy. Only Marmol still remains on one roster.

Worried about Stanton, Walden, Pence, Lind, and Brantley. Have dumped or dealt Brantley in every league but one.

Holding steady with Choo, Aybar, Boesch, and Mesoraco.

Not worried about Pujols, Hanley, Votto, Lester, and Howie. Actually just dealt J Weaver and R Weeks for Lester and Howie.

Of my 5 squads I feel great about 2, good about 2, and think my offense is doomed in the 5th.

Mauer

Mesoraco

Votto

Kipnis

Asdrubal

P Alvarez (was I Stewart)

A Hill

Lind

Stanton

McCutch

Heyward

Choo

Nieuwenhuis (was Bourjos)

Ibanez (was Brantley)

With only Arenado stashed. My elite pitching is the only reason the towel hasn't been thrown in yet, probably should anyway but I'll give it another month.

Not really worried about Lawrie. It was unreasonable to expect him to continue last seasons numbers. The power will come throughout the season. As it stands right now he is on pace to hit .287 19 Hrs 90 RBIs with 13 SB. Not great but that's with a rather pedestrian start to the season. A few games with a couple SBs and a little power surge and he will be on pace for for .290 25 100 20 season. Just needs to get his XB hits up. Need to see some more 2Bs instead of all singles. Now might be a good time to buy on Lawrie if you can find an owner who has soured on him.Agree with Moore and Goldy. Too much was expected out of the rookie SP. He is a rookie so it should be expected that he will look great one game and terrible the next. Though I am a bit surprised about his walk rate. Expected him to have a bit better command. Pujols is tough because there have been stretches where he has been like this but never at the beginning of the season. But it is not encouraging especially considering the doubts about his age. Even i he is 31 or whatever, we have seen plenty of examples of power hitters just hit a cliff fast. Cano has been pretty terrible this season but I don't know anyone who realistically thinks he won't rebound.

I'm starting to think pujols doesn't get out of this
The light switch will go on any day now and it's all down hill from there.
Do you think he's a 30-100 guy this year? What worries me about him is, is he equipped to deal with adversity? Can he fight off his back? This is now a month. We are into may and he's homer less. It looks it's effecting his standard offensive game. Chasing pitches, not taking walks. He hit with authority in the spring so I dot know what's up but what we do know is this:-terrible ballpark for 80 games a year(throw in 20 more at safeco and Oakland). -age is an issue potentiallyI don't know what he's got going here. Is he hurt? Is he pressing? Is he done?I don't think he's done but I don't share your optimism that switch will flip and albert will be Albert. We were laughing two weeks ago but it's much less funny now. I think he's a 20-80 guy the rest of the way. I was buying last week in one league but I mIght be selling in another.

Pujols was 30/81 after May 1st last year. That included missing a week and a half in June. If he stays healthy, I think 20/80 is pretty safe even though extrapolating his April stats projects to 0/22 :bag:

20/80 is roughly4 hr16 rbi per monthone homer a week, an rbi every other game.Very attainable, but what difference does that make, is he even a starter on many fantasy teams? Most who drafted him didn't excactly back him up strong but still.

What happened to the power Andrew McCutchen showed last year?

0 HR and 7 RBI a month in

Nelson Cruz

I was shopping Matt Moore all week because something isn't right or he's not as sharp command wise as before, and now his value has really bottomed. Seems like a guy who needs a month in AAA right now. Frustrating because he has his velocity and gives you glimpses but then again so did Scott kazmir. His slight frame worries me a great deal, which is the other pararel I'd draw.

Simply put, are these guys able to handle a 200 inning starters workload?

I've grown to truly hate Clay Buchholz. Yes, I realize I do not personally know him. Yes, I realize hate is a very strong word.

I hate you Clay.
