Bust o' the draft. (after 2 weeks of course) (1 Viewer)

How about SJax and MJD as my first two RBs? How's that for bust so far? Luckily I have ADP and Portis too so I'm not ready to give up yet.

I have both in one league, lee evans in another. Between those two teams, it looks like Im going to be 2-2 after this week.

Could be even worse. I had the bad fortune of drafting Barry Sanders this year, and he's really been sucking up the joint. Over the first two games of the season, he's rushed for 53 yards... COMBINED... at 2.1 yards per carry... against the WOEFUL Atlanta and Tampa Bay defenses. Last year, the Falcons and Bucs had a combined record of 9-23, and finished 28th and 26th respectively in terms of yards per carried allowed- out of only thirty teams! If Barry Sanders can't find running room against these pathetic franchises, he won't find it anywhere. So here's the question- should I try to trade him to some sucker who'll buy him because of the name recognition, or should I just cut him outright? I mean, clearly, two weeks into the season is an appropriate time to name someone a bust, right? What are the odds of Sanders actually turning things around and possibly even finishing as a potential RB2 this year?

Evans has had a couple of tough D's to deal with. Still has NE next week, too. Actually, now that I look at it, Buffalo has it pretty rough overall. Games against Balt and Jax to go along with Miami and NE 2X each.

Not like this schedule was created yesterday...we all knew this going in. :wall:

Dig up the threads from last year about Cadillac Williams and LaMont Jordan owners worrying about their potential misfortune after taking either in the 1st round.

Of course, the possibility of busting is always there. My point is that, after 2 weeks, nothing is NEARLY as certain as everyone seems to feel it is.

See Evans first two games of last year. Very similar and he ended up ranked top 10
I really should have known better than to start him, but somehow I'm still winning in those 2 leagues.Obviously we won't call LT a bust, but this week was painful.

You know, I did put "after 2 weeks of course" in the original title....... Just saying, after 2 weeks these guys are quite disappointing.

Same as you. Most likely the WORST #2 pick I have ever made (MJD on FBG recommendation by DD). I paid for this service to compensate for the little time I could invest into FF research after attaining a new job before the draft. Bottom line; there is no substitute for personal research. My own fault. But the future looks bleak. Until Fragile gets hurt or MJD's touches increase, I am more confident with MB3 or DeFoster.

Everyone needs to realize that Evans was just as bad in the first two games last year.

Relax. Things happen. People have off-weeks, sometimes even two in a row.

What about Jones Drew , way way way wwayyyy overrated but guys tought he was a top 10 AHahhahahahahahah.
:lmao: In my opinion at the moment it is MJD hands down. In today's gameMJD = 11/31/0 and 1/10/0Taylor = 16/56/0 and 1/11/0Neither lit the world on fire, but if you are looking to start one, I will take the guy that gets the most carries. After two games Taylor has 4 more than MJD.

Can we add Colston to the list? How about LJ?
Colston? what do you want outta of the guy. He is 14-117-1td. What would you like to see? If he keeps this up he will be 112-936-8tds. Ill take that out of my 4th rounder. The yards are very low per average, but Ill take the 112 and 8tds

Ya MJD is horrible. Garrard has taken out a lot from him. Plus he hasnt done anything. Waste of pick for me as well. It was a good thing I went with 3 straight Rbs, or I would be really hurting. MJD has gone from 2 to 4th on my list. He is there with Betts and Norwood. Neither I would start unless someone gets hurt.

I would agree it is MJD, BUT I read alot of stuff on MJD from the Jags coaching staff prior to the season stating that Fred Taylor is the started (hence the contract), and MJD would only see playing time on 50% of passing downs and long 3rd down attempts.

In other words from those articles, MJD wasn't slated to have a very big year, in all my leagues - he either went late 2nd or 3rd.

I wouldn't say LJ either only because he lost his only good OL, his QB, + Herm Edwards destroys offenses, everyone should of seen that one coming.

Lee Evans I agree is looking horrible, but he did do the same thing last year, time will tell.

SJAX - I would say so far, hands down is the biggest bust as his ADP was 2.

Agree that Lee Evans and MJ-D are the busts of this draft so far.

I have each on two different teams - I am able to overcome MJ-D in my survivor league, but I am not sure how to deal with the Lee Evans - he was the only player on that team I didnt pick for myself. I missed the 5th round due to my own computer problems and Evans was autopicked by fanball.

The problem is not Evans,It is that stagnant and disgusting offensive playcalling combined with a Losman who looks nothing like he did in preseason and a running game that clearly misses McGahee.I am very scared to watch the Bills face off against the Dolphins - could be a game featuring the most punts in league history.
