Buster Davis vs. Patrick Clayton (1 Viewer)

Who lines up where Floyd was if Naanee, Davis, and Crayton are all active? I think I would like whoever lines up on the other side.

Crayton's career stats aren't terrible: 62% catch rate with 15 yards/catch. He even had a 50 catch, 7 TD season a while back.

Davis's sample size is much, much smaller (77 targets in the past 4 years with a good chunk of those coming this year). He only catching 50% of his balls this year, which isn't tragically less, but still . . . it's less.

If Gates weren't hurt I'd say Davis for the upside, but I like Crayton as the journeyman who can move the changes and maybe score the occasional TD.

Crayton looked good last game. Looks like he's made strides in picking up the offense. Nanee and Davis don't impress me at all when I watch them. I'm going to defer to my eyes and go with Crayton to keep it up if Floyd misses more time.

Last game... when Nanee, Gates and Floyd all were out.. Didn't Davis get in the game w/Crayton? Crayton got the passes coming his way... Davis--not so much. Despite the small sample size to evaluate... I think you're eyes are 20/20 on this.

I hear you. I'm just saying he looked good on the field. Not like the guy I remembered in Dallas. Looked quick and confident.

if you mean he caught the passes his way ya. rivers did throw to davis a 8 times tho, so its not like he was invisible. crayton had 7 targets.

I wanted Crayton, but ended up with Davis. I would guess that each week will be different, they will likely be getting a similar amount of targets....just depends what they can do with it.

Parcells had an issue with Crayton's practice habits translating to the field, having no ability to overcome a poor week and get focused. For a time, a few beat reporters made comments here N there tracking how he did in practice and his games were predictable. It's not easy to get practice info, but over the years if some beat reporter mentioned Crayton it has still played out that way.

I'd be curious if anyone hears any news about how Crayton is doing at practice, could you please post it here? Thanks

Word out of San Diego is Patrick Crayton has been spending all week trying to see how many punts he can catch in his arms without dropping any balls on the ground.

I'd look elsewhere this week.

Same here - Crayton went for $115 real freakin' dollars in a waiver wire bidding war. I got Davis for $10 instead. Hoping for a decent game..

Ajirotutu, Seyi FA WR

Just picked him up... Anyone know anything about him? I just saw news he could take over Floyds role.

Looks like Naanee is out also from what I read and the Buster Davis looks in line to start... with Rivers at the helm in a pass happy offense, how can you ignore the opportunity here for Davis? With all of the byes etc, he has to be worth a look.

I think the consensus is the guy has some talent. Now, meet opportunity?

Talent? Yes. Heart? None. I don't know if I've ever seen a WR less interested in putting forth a bit of effort to catch a ball in the end zone or the red zone as Buster Davis in that game against the Raiders.
