Huh? Naw man, I drafted a bunch of pro bowlers, guys with tremendous upside, and severely underrated talent rich studs carving out a path to stardom..You guys targeting anyone prior to week 1 that you're expecting to blow up?
Moving anyone that you think we're going to be disappointed in?
yeah I just read that on cbs too, Heath Cummings , right? he also says dont believe in Curtis Samuel, among others. can't remember the last time I listened to anything anyone on CBS said , though, so it's all in fun for me. I'm with you on Monty, he's going to be a stud, he has the pedigree and the reports in camp are glowing, and his premier in preseason was good.profootballfocus say he's 'electric' and they talk very highly of him. I trust them more than anyone!Buy:
• Amari Cooper - sounds like people are still worried despite all the positive news/practice.
• David Montgomery - Soortsline just put out their “believe it or not” column & again trashed Monty’s chances as a featured player. They’ve been down on him all preseason. I think the author of that missed Monty in all his leagues or is trying to buy low himself.
• Tyrell Williams - has been flying under the radar with all the AB talk. Dude spent the off-season training with Keenan Allen’s route-running coach, learning to slow down then burst & this make more efficient cuts. With AB back on track, Williams will see opponents #2s? Sign me all up for that. I love his value & I get the impression many drafted him as a “f it” pick without any enthusiasm. That could change after a game.
• Chiefs RBs named Williams - if someone owns DWill and is panicked, DWill could be a good buy-low investment. No, he won’t be a 30 touch feature back ala priest Holmes in his prime like people dreamed of, but that wasn’t realistic anyway. But he very well may split carries pretty evenly & have outstanding value for an affordable price by someone who just wants to cut bait. Never hurts to float an offer.
I know you keep posting about Meyers, but there are 1,001 reasons to not expect him to do anything this year. He is there to round out the field at WR. I posted the numbers for NE WR’s that put up big numbers in the preseason in another thread (they have barely amounted to anything). I posted the numbers for NE rookie receivers over the years (they did close to nothing). And Meyers is way down the list of potential targets in the NE receiving tree. Oh, and the team is now more of a running team than a passing team. If you want to take up a roster spot waiting for him to do something this year, more power to you. But I doubt Meyers will get 30 receptions this year . . . and that is incorporating some missed time for the other receivers.Jakobi Meyers - lets see, Edelman, Gordon, D. Thomas - all have serious issues with age, injury, suspensions - booze or PEDs ( edelman)..throw Gordon out of the mix, overrated fluff piece. Throw D. Thomas out, he's 17 years past his prime. Edelman is old, broken down, injury prone. how much does he really have left in the tank?? No Ben Watson for 4 weeks. Enter Meyers. preseason/traning camp darling. buzz around him is real. he's a legit starting WR going forward.
He’s already in my stable.Gallup will be the top ww pickup in leagues that he is still available
The speed of information these days made this like a 3 hour window.Tyrell Williams - has been flying under the radar with all the AB talk. I’ve been a Pettis guy since last season. I expect he has a big game against a bad TB secondary, and hope that’s the launching pad for a big season. Not necessarily calling my shot, but I'm just really curious to see how the SF WR corps shakes out and if/how they use Deebo in week one. There should be some value somewhere in that unit. Could be Deebo. Could be Goodwin. Could even be one of the other guys.
I'm really bullish on Mark Andrews this season because he has glimmers of Gronk/Kelce in his play style and the Ravens have nada at WR besides the rookie Brown. You'd think everything is aligning for Andrews to see a lot of targets, although the Ravens will be a run-first team and also have Hurst at TE, who I think is a big talent in his own right. Generally speaking though, I'm buying most Ravens skill players. I see a lot of value there.
Very interested in both these situations. I'll also say I'm interested to see how Boykin does in Baltimore. Waldman had him as his #2 WR in the RSP, and he seems to be starting already and got training camp buzz. I think the Baltimore offense could be more fantasy-relevant than people are expecting. Not necessarily calling my shot, but I'm just really curious to see how the SF WR corps shakes out and if/how they use Deebo in week one. If someone in your league is buying high I'd certainly sell high. I remember the frenzy when the Patriots got Gordon, it was like he was going to have a 200/2,500/70 seasonBrown was sell low, buy low, sell high all in one afternoon.
What is he now?
It's weird but I'm probably watching the Miami game as the early game. Looks like a terrible game but want to see Lamar, Balt TE usage, Boykin, Hollywood, Justice, Preston and who is going to get the targets in Miami.Very interested in both these situations.
