I believe this is a nice pick up considering what you can get him for. Great OL and Peterson is out for ?. Why would they risk their franchise player when they have Taylor.

I understand that Taylor is a barely above average. 20 carries at 4.0 ypc and 4 catches a game at .8 TD's. I'll take it all day. 20 ppg in PPR.

Why can't he be a buy low candidate?

I'm a Peterson owner who was looking at starting DeShaun Foster this week. I just traded Reggie Bush and Kyle Boller for Chester, McGahee and Garrard.

you'll live to regret that one.chester's time as a buy low was last month. don't think that owners are going to give him up cheaply now with the way rbs are dropping like flies.he's got relatively fresh legs compared to the rest of the starters. i like his chances for the run to the playoffs.

I was fortunate to pick up Chester the week prior to the Peterson injury. Now, I am wondering what I have in Chester? A one week lineup filler, or a horse to ride into the playoffs. What have the Vikes said about ADP? I have heard day-to-day, which leads me to believe he will be back sooner rather than later.

I think you misunderstood me. I received Chester Taylor, McGahee and Garrard and gave Reggie Bush and Boller. With Peterson going down, I was goign to be forced to start DeShaun Foster over him if I did not make that move. Anyways, sounds like you like Taylor from here on out.

yeah i read it that way. if it's dynasty, you'll live to regret it. giving up bush to fill in a few weeks for adrian is going to hurt down the road...

Not dynasty. It's keep 2 players and forefit the round. I had no plans to keep Bush since he'd cost a 1st rounder while ADP will cost me a 5th and Michael Turner a 16th. No way I am keeping Bush over either of those options anyways. Plus Garrard helps as its a 2 QB league. Since I am right in the thick of things this year, it sure beats holding onto Bush, starting DeShaun Foster for the next 3-4 weeks, drop out of contention and then give up bush next year anyways. If it was a different type of dynasty, I probably wouldnt have done the deal.

The day to day thing you heard is wrong. Dr. James Andrews said in a statement Wednesday that Peterson should be re-evaluated on a week-to-week basis. Not the same thing.

New to the board, love the news that is available here. Keep up the good work. Huge Vikes and AP fan. That being said I dealt Derek Anderson (had Drew Brees also) for Chester right away after AP went down. The Vikes are actually optimistic that AP could return next week against the Giants but the better bet is the following week (12/2) against the Lions. Chester was great last year and I expect him to put up good numbers until AP gets back. 120 yds and 2 TDs against a poor Raiders run defense is definitely possible not to mention lots of short fields with Fumblepepper guiding the Silver and Black this Sunday.

Welcome aboard.I think you're right about Chester putting up good numbers until AP gets back - that Vikes OLine looks like they have gelled better this season, and he does have fresh legs for this time of year.My take on it is that he'll run his butt off during this opportunity, doing whatever he can to showcase his talent to the rest of the league in an attempt to start elsewhere next season.

As a Peterson dynasty owner, I bought Chester about a month ago. (for Brian Leonard after his 100 yard game vs. ARI).

Invaluable insurance to have a former 1000 yard rusher as your insurance policy for your future stud RB in Peterson. Chester isn't Peterson obviously, but I'll take him all day as a RB2. Hell I'd scrap up Mewelde Moore right now too (Chester gets hurt...and Moore plays, he's a FA at year's end too).
