Caddy Williams dropped (1 Viewer)

Caddy Williams was cut loose in one of my leagues. What is his future value? Especially with Blount getting more touches and reports he will get the GL carries.

I think the Caddy is in the shop long term.

It wasn't well maintanted, and too much early mileage on it. It feels older than the model would suggest.

I own in him in one league and I am trying to drop him for the Law Firm. The fact is he isn't on that good of an offense and I don't really see myself starting him that often. I would rather use the roster spot on an upside rb who may do something. Caddy had 49 carries in his first 2 games for 126 yards. That was against Cleveland and Carolina. That's a 2.9 ypc average. The carries are going to go down and already did this past week vs. Pittsburgh (6) though he did have a few receptions. Huggins and Blount are waiting in the wings and may start to see more playing time based on how the Bucs are playing.

Gotta pick him up unless its really really shallow. Cant be too excited about it obviously, but he is still in line for the most touches next week and Blount still has to: not suck, have his coach manage to follow his game plan, pass protect, avoid punching the ref or his OL the first time a big run is negated by a holding call, and all kinds of other things to have an impact.

If it's PPR and I was real thin at RB I'd pick up Caddy, otherwise leave him alone.

I think the Blount love is over rated and he is not going to take Caddys' job but Blount is the goal line back. I still see Caddy leading the team in rushing attempts and getting a good sized workload. But without game breaking speed and without getting goal line carries it's going to be hard for him to score TD's. I see a lot of 16 carries for 50-60 yards and no TD's type days in his future. In PPR leagues I'd still consider Caddy a low end RB3 because he's been more involved in the passing game this year and if he can give you 50-60 yards on the ground with a few catches he might be able to average double digits. It's not great, upside is about nill, but in deep leagues sometimes you need that kind of production from your RB spot.

Pretty good point, its worth noting that he's faced some pretty decent run defenses. Basically my plan is to watch how the touches go in week 5 and depending how that goes he should be useful week 6th-8 NO, STL, @ARI, especially depending on your byes
